V.P. Krishnan (born Vasudevan P Krishnan, 2 May 1930 – 13 October 1996) was a Malayalam film editor. He worked in over five hundred films in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi languages. This makes him one of the few editors to have worked for five of the biggest film industries in India.

A busy editor during his day, Krishnan always maintained a low profile. A few notable Tamil films that he worked on include Polladhavan , Paritchaikku Neramaachu , Andaman Kadhali , Mounam Sammadham , Karnan (as assistant), Vaai Kozhuppu , and Keezh Vaanam Sivakkum .

He won three Karnataka State Film Awards for Best Editor: 1967-68 for Belli Moda , 1974-75 for Upasane and in 1983-84 for Amrutha Ghalige . He won the Nandi Award for Best Editor for Magaadu. He was closely associated in several projects with former Kannada director Puttanna Kanagal. He also worked with the directors K. Madhu and Muktha Srinivasan on various films.

Kalpana, born Sharat Lata, was an Indian actress who appeared in Kannada films. She was affectionately referred to as Minugu Taare among the film fraternity. She was widely recognised as one of the greatest actresses of Kannada cinema who enjoyed both fan following and critical acclaim. She made her screen debut as a lead actress in the 1963 release Saaku Magalu directed by veteran B. R. Panthulu. During a career that spanned from the early 1960s to the late 1970s, Kalpana appeared in numerous commercially successful as well as critically appreciated films, many of which featured her alongside actor Rajkumar. She worked in a few Tamil, Tulu and Malayalam films as well. Many of her successful films were female-centric, giving ample scope for her performance.

M. Karnan was an Indian cinematographer and director who mainly worked in Tamil cinema. Starting his career as an assistant to V. Ramamurthi, Karnan gradually rose to a full-fledged cinematographer, and made a few films based on curry western featuring Jaishankar in the lead. In an interview to Behindwoods, cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran mentioned Karnan as an inspiration and noted the way he made films. He had a very good heart and he was a pure soul. He had helped many in his times. After prolonged illness, he died on 13 December 2012.

<i>Keezh Vaanam Sivakkum</i> 1981 Indian film

Keezh Vaanam Sivakkum is a 1981 Indian Tamil-language film, directed by Muktha Srinivasan and produced by S. Ravi. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Saritha, Jaishankar, Sarath Babu and Menaka. It is based on the play of the same name by Kuriakose Ranga. The film was released on 26 October 1981 and become a box-office hit, running for over 100 days in theaters. It was remade in Telugu as Gopala Krishnudu and in Malayalam as Chakravalam Chuvannappol.

P. Krishnamoorthy was an Indian film art director, production designer and costume designer who worked predominantly in the South Indian cinema. As of 2015, he had worked in over 55 films in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Sanskrit, Malayalam and English, and won five National Film Awards—three for Best Art Direction and two for Best Costume Design. In addition, he was the recipient of five Kerala State Film Awards and four Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. The five-time National Award winner died in Chennai on 13 December 2020, due to age related ailments.

P. Sai Suresh is an Indian film editor, who has worked on Tamil language films. He regularly collaborated in ventures directed by Sundar C in the 1990s and 2000s, notably working on projects including Arunachalam (1997), Suyamvaram (1999) and Anbe Sivam (2003).

Arunachalam Sakunthala, also known as C. I. D. Sakunthala, was an Indian actress. She filled roles as a heroine, item number dancer, and villainess in over 600 Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films. The first film in which she performed as an actress was CID Shankar, following which she was referred to as "C. I. D. Sakunthala". After that, Sakunthala became more popular. It was a Tamil thriller which was released on 1 May 1970, directed by R Sundaram. In the movie 'Thavaputhalvan', she played a ruthless villainous role revengeful on Sivaji Ganesan that film praised by the fans.
