Vahe Yan is an Armenian film director and screenwriter
Vane Yan (Vahe Ghazaryan) 1998 to 2003 studied at the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography, graduating from the department of directing with excellent diploma. In 1999 participated in the “Young Authors of the Century” republican contest in literature, winning a third place certificate. In 2001 he was invited to the RF to feature in Tigran Keosayan's Man's Work multi-episode feature film. In the same year he won the first prize of the annual youth festival for the performance Jonathan Livingston Seagull. In 2002 he established a writer's and theater personalities’ organization “MEGA”, which resulted in the creation of the magazine “ART” In 2002 he staged the Living Shadows based on Albert Camu's Caligula, appearing in the role of Caligula. In 2003, after studying Theater of the Absurd for an extensive period of time, he staged the Ionesco's Rhinoceros as his diploma work. The play was a great success and he received an invitation to take part in the International Symposium of Absurd writers, but wasn't able to attend it due to military service. In 2007 he received a certificate in the youth festival “It’s Me” for his film The Staff. In 2007 The Staff won a prize in Yalta Festival of Documentary Films “Vmeste”. In 2008 his film My World deserved a prize in the International Contest-Festival of Journalists “Eurasia – Social Portrait”, held in Moscow and a special prize in Yalta Festival “Vmeste”. In May 2008 he received a laureate diploma from the 3rd International Contest-Festival of Journalists “Eurasia – Social Portrait” for his documentary My World. From November 2009 he was the member of «ARAS» Czech Association of Directors and Scriptwriters. In 2010 his film The Present received a diploma of The Union of Cinematographers of Armenia in Yerevan International Festival of Short Films “One Shot – One Minute”. Later on in the same year his social advertisement “The last color” won certificate and bronze medal by UNICA. From 2010-2011he appeared as the director of three social advertisements by the order of French- Armenian Development Foundation. In 2014 he received a diploma “Best Short-length Documentary” from Canadian festival “Pomegranate” for his film No One Writes to the Colonel. In 2016 he became the director of a film, titled “Roots”, shot in script reality format. In line with a work of a director Vahe Yan is also engaged in dubbing of films. He is fluent in Armenian, Russian and English. Married.

Hover Chamber Choir is an Armenian choir. It was established in 1992 in Armenia by Sona Hovhannisyan and students at Yerevan State Komitas Conservatory. Hover received the Gold Medal at the International Choir Olympiad in Linz, Austria in 2000, became a prize winner at the International Competition in Tours, France, and received diplomas at the International Polyphonic Music Festival in Arezzo, Italy in 1997.
The Golden ApricotYerevan International Film Festival (GAIFF) is an annual film festival held in Yerevan, Armenia. The festival was founded in 2004 with the co-operation of the "Golden Apricot" Fund for Cinema Development, the Armenian Association of Film Critics and Cinema Journalists. The GAIFF is continually supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the Ministry of Culture of Armenia and the Benevolent Fund for Cultural Development.The objectives of the festival are "to present new works by the film directors and producers in Armenia and foreign cinematographers of Armenian descent and to promote creativity and originality in the area of cinema and video art".

The 4th Yerevan Golden Apricot International Film Festival was a film festival held in Yerevan, Armenia from 9–14 July 2007. More than 120 films from around the world were presented during the festival with attendance from contemporary filmmakers such as Bruno Dumont, Leos Carax, Carla Garapedian, Lee Chang-dong, Andrey Zvyagintsev, Aurora Quattrocchi and Tchéky Karyo. Paolo and Vittorio Taviani (Italy), directors of The Lark Farm were honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards. The international juries, headed by An Cheong-sook, Martin Schweighofer (Austria), Vigen Chaldranyan (Armenia) awarded the following prizes: Golden Apricot 2007 for the Best Feature Film to Ulrich Seidl for his film Import/Export (Austria); Golden Apricot 2007 for the Best Documentary Film to Vardan Hovhannisyan for his film A Story of People in War and Peace (Armenia) and Golden Apricot 2007 for the Best Film in the “Armenian Panorama” to Screamers by Carla Garapedian (UK). Vardan Hovhannisyan was awarded with the FIPRESCI and Ecumenical Jury Prizes and Carla Garapedian (Screamers) was also awarded the Ecumenical Jury Price.
Varduhi Vardanyan was an Armenian singer. She has participated in many international song contests and always won many awards. She was awarded best singer of Armenia. She died in a car accident on Sevan - Martuni highway on October 15, 2006. After her death, many Armenian programs were dedicated to her, including Benefis, Half-opened windows, and Mechanism of happiness.
