Vasaplatsen is a triangular public square in the district of Vasastaden in Gothenburg, Sweden. Since two tram lines crosses here, there are four combined tram and bus stops on the square close by each other that all go under the name Vasaplatsen. All public trams and buses in Gothenburg are operated by Västtrafik.
In 1992, 13 people lost their lives and around 30 people were injured when a driverless tram came down the hill from Kapellplatsen and collided with another tram at Vasaplatsen.

Hisingen is the fifth-largest island of Sweden, with an area of 199 km2 (77 sq mi). It is a river island, formed by the split of the Göta Älv at Bohus, and is defined to the east and south by the main arm of that river, to the north by the smaller arm, and to the west by the Kattegat. The southern part of Hisingen is extensively urbanised, representing the northern suburbs of the city of Gothenburg. The island is divided between the historical provinces of Västergötland and Bohuslän, but lies entirely within the modern county of Västra Götaland.
Syntagma Square is the central square of Athens, Greece. The square is named after the Constitution that Otto, the first King of Greece, was obliged to grant after a popular and military uprising on 3 September 1843. It is located in front of the 19th-century Old Royal Palace, housing the Greek Parliament since 1934. Syntagma Square is the most important square of modern Athens from both a historical and social point of view, at the heart of commercial activity and Greek politics. The name Syntagma alone also refers to the neighbourhood surrounding the square. The metro station underneath the square, where lines 2 and 3 connect, along with the tram terminal and the numerous bus stops, constitutes one of the busiest transport hubs in the country.
Bergsjön is a district in eastern Gothenburg, Sweden. On January 1, 2011, Bergsjön and Kortedala became the Eastern District of Gothenburg as part of a larger reorganization of the city of Gothenburg; the number of district councils was halved, to ten. Bergsjön, as part of Eastern District of Gothenburg, is divided into two smaller areas: Western and Eastern Bergsjön. In Eastern Bergsjön construction and development in the area began in 1965, and in Western Bergsjön development started in 1967.
Kortedala is a district, mainly residential (apartments), in the north-eastern part of Gothenburg in western Sweden. The area has a population of around 10,000 and is one of the typical 1950s suburbs of Gothenburg. The area has many trees and parks. Kortedala also has Gothenburg's largest ice-skating rink, Isdala, and a large sports centre, Alelyckan. There are four local squares, three smaller ones and the larger Kortedala Torg. Kortedala is on tram lines 6, 7 and 11, with line 6 terminating at Aprilgatan. As of 2023, no tram lines longer stop at Aprilgatan due to a shortage of tram drivers.
The Nils Ericson Terminal is a major bus terminus in Gothenburg, Sweden built in 1995. It is adjacent to and interconnected with Gothenburg Central Station and will be joined to the upcoming Centralen station via the Gothenburg Grand Central building.
Majorna is a residential area in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is a part of the borough Majorna-Linné. It is located west of the city just outside the city centre, with Göta älv in the north, Masthugget and Slottsskogen in the east, Högsbo in the south and Älvsborg in the west.
Västtrafik is the agency responsible for public transport services involving buses, ferries, trains, and the Gothenburg tram network in the county of Västra Götaland, Sweden. It was established with the Västra Götaland County on 1 January 1998. Until 31 December 2011 the ownership was shared equally between the Västra Götaland Regional Council and the 49 municipalities in the region, from 1 January 2012 the county council is the sole owner. The fleet consists of approximately 1900 vehicles.
Angered is a borough of Gothenburg Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. Angered is the biggest Million Programme area in Gothenburg, and one of the biggest in the country, with 60,000 inhabitants.
The Gothenburg tramway network is part of the public transport system organised by Göteborgs Spårvägar, controlled by Västtrafik in the Swedish city of Gothenburg. The system's approximately 160 kilometres (100 mi) of single track — making it the largest tram network in Northern Europe — is used by around 200 trams as of 2006, which serve twelve day-time and five night-time lines with a combined line length of 190 km. These figures are expected to increase when the second stage of Kringen is finished. The trams perform about 2,000 trips and cover 30,000 km per day. In 2018, 131 million journeys were made.
Götaplatsen is a public square in Gothenburg, Sweden, at the southern end of Avenyn, the city's main boulevard. The square was inaugurated when Gothenburg held a major international industrial exhibition, In 1923, celebrating the city's 300th anniversary.
Tynnered is one of 21 boroughs in the city of Gothenburg, Sweden. It is located in the western part of the city, about 8-10 kilometres from the inner city, and it has a population of 27,787 (2010) on 29.85 square kilometres (11.53 mi2). Alike several other boroughs of the city, Tynnered has a fairly high percentage of immigrants. On January 1, 2011, Tynnered became part of the district (stadsdelsnämnd) Western Gothenburg. In 2021 the stadsdelsnämd districts were replaced by larger stadsområde districts and Tynnered became part of South-West Gothenburg.
Järntorget is a public square in Gothenburg, Sweden. A hub for public transport, it is located west of Haga and is the starting point for the boulevards of Linnégatan to the south and Nya Allén to the east; and the streets of Första Långgatan and Andra Långgatan to the west. Järntorget is the traditional home of the city's labour movement, with the Social Democratic Party, ABF, Folkteatern, Folkets hus and trade unions located here.

Högsbo is a city district of Gothenburg located on the Swedish west coast. Högsbo is situated southwest of the city centre of Gothenburg.
Frölunda Torg is a shopping centre in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is one of the largest shopping centres in Scandinavia, with approximately 200 shops and more than 10 million visitors in 2009. The shopping centre's total area is about 75,000 square metres. The companies housed in Frölunda Torg employ in total 1,500 people and their total annual turnover is in excess of 1.6 billion kronor.
Lindholmen is a former island in the Göta Älv river, now part of the larger island of Hisingen, in Gothenburg, Sweden. Lindholmen was not attached to Hisingen until 1864, or perhaps even later, and the western part of the channel separating the two islands is preserved in the form of the inlet Sannegårdshamnen, which now functions as a marina.
Brunnsparken is a central square in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is located between Nordstan and Arkaden, and between two of Gothenburg's oldest streets, Norra Hamngatan and Södra Hamngatan. With its central location "Inom Vallgraven" and with numerous shopping centres it is a popular meeting place in Gothenburg.
