Ve'ondre Mitchell (born circa 2003/2004) is an American internet celebrity, recording artist, and activist. She co-created the 2024 song "It Girl (Fan Remix)" with Aliyah's Interlude, which received over 3.5 million streams on Spotify. Mitchell served as a Youth Ambassador for the Human Rights Campaign in 2021 and was featured in GLAAD's 20 Under 20 List. She was nominated for "TikTok Queer Advocate of the Year" at the 32nd GLAAD Media Awards.

Early life

Ve'ondre Mitchell was born in Snohomish County, Washington. She is of Latin American and African-American heritage. [1] Mitchell came out to her mother as transgender when she was seven years old. [2] [3]

She attended Glacier Peak High School in Snohomish, where she led the school's Black Student Union. [2] Mitchell has said she grew up in a small town that was majority white, and sometimes felt she needed to hide her Black identity. [1]

Career

In 2018, Mitchell appeared in the documentary The Most Dangerous Year which focuses on transgender issues, it received favorable reviews from critics. [4]

Beginning in 2019, Mitchell began cultivating an online following, and had 4.6 million followers on TikTok by November 2021 [2] and 6.6 million followers by June 2023. [1] Mitchell often discussed LGBT issues on her social media. [1]

In 2021, Mitchell was announced to be a Youth Ambassador for the Human Rights Campaign. [5] In the same year, Mitchell was featured on GLAAD's second annual 20 under 20 list [6] and nominated for the "Tiktok Queer Advocate of the Year" award at the 32nd annual GLAAD Media Awards. [7]

In 2022, Mitchell began working on an HIV prevention initiative called Me in You, You in Me. [3]

In 2023, she worked on Chrissy Chlapecka's music video for the single "I'm So Hot."

On January 30, 2024, Aliyah's Interlude and Ve'ondre Mitchell released "It Girl (Fan Remix)". [8] [9] She made her live performance debut of the song at Jewel's Catch One in Los Angeles in June 2024. [9] As of June 2024, "It Girl (Fan Remix)" had amassed over 3.5 million streams on Spotify. [9]

On March 8th, 2024, Mitchell released her debut single "Block Em' Anthem." The song used the instrumental for "Hollaback Girl" by Gwen Stefani. [10]

On March 13, 2024, Mitchell appeared in the music video for Dylan Mulvaney's debut single "Days of Girlhood". [11] That same month, she fundraised for TikTok-a-Thon for Trans Healthcare. [12]

The 32nd GLAAD Media Awards is the 2021 annual presentation of the GLAAD Media Awards, presented by GLAAD honoring the 2020 media season. It was held on April 8, 2021. The awards honor films, television shows, video games, musicians and works of journalism that fairly, accurately and inclusively represent the LGBT community and issues relevant to the community. GLAAD announced the 198 nominees split across 28 categories on January 28, 2021 on TikTok. A new category was created for Children's Programming, honoring televised works aired for younger children. She gained a higher profile on social media platforms after her interview with U.S. president Joe Biden at the White House, during which they spoke about transgender rights. After signing with IMG Models in 2019, she started using TikTok in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and became popular online for her comedic videos.

The fundraiser is a livestream organised by trans TikTok influencers Mercury Stardust and alluringskull to fundraise for the mutual aid nonprofit Point of Pride. The fundraiser is organised for March 31, International Transgender Day of Visibility and has raised over $4 million.

Ayesha Erotica is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, and record producer. She began releasing music online in 2015 and rose to prominence from her collaborations with pop singer Slayyyter in 2018. She left music in 2018 before returning in 2023. She is known for her sexually-charged, 2000s-inspired hyperpop music and her elusive online image.
