<i>Vecinos</i> Mexican television series (2005–)

Vecinos is a Mexican television series created by Eugenio Derbez, based on Spanish television series Aquí no hay quien viva. It premiered on July 10, 2005. The series portrays the life of everyday people in Mexican barrios, where anything can be found — the jealous housewife, the spinster, the strange family, etc. Each episode features the interactions between these peculiar neighbors, where they deal with problems both real and imagined, such as ghosts, treasures, ripoffs, fights, etc.

'Vecino' means either "neighbour" or resident in modern Spanish. Historically in the Spanish Empire it referred instead to a householder of considerable social position in a town or a city, and was similar to "freeman" or "freeholder."

<i>Vecinos</i> (Colombian TV series)

Vecinos is a 2008 Colombian produced telenovela and broadcast by the Caracol TV. Vecinos made its debut on September 1, 2008. The telenovela has finished its run on Telefutura on May 3, 2010 in the United States. Re-broadcasts of the show were being shown on U.S. broadcaster Unimas. It is commonly shown in Spanish classes to help the students learn better Spanish.
