Veerangkuppam is a small village in Ambur Taluk, part of the Vellore District in the Indian State of Tamil Nadu. This village is surrounded by coconut tree farms, and the Palar river. The village's population is approximately 3000. This village is famous for local festival called 'CHAMUNDEESWARI AMMAN THIRUVIZHA' which comes in January every year after the festival PONGAL. The main part of the festival is 'YERUTHU VIDUM THIRUVIZHA' (Like Jallikattu) and 'KARAGAM'.
