Brewery Verhaeghe (Dutch - Brouwerij Verhaeghe) established in 1875, is a small brewery located in Vichte, West Flanders, Belgium.
They specialise in Flanders red ales including Duchesse de Bourgogne, an internationally renowned[ citation needed ] Flemish red. In addition, their range includes Vichtenaar (the most basic Flemish red of the brewery); Echt Kriekenbier (Vichtenaar with cherries added in to create a kriek style beer); Verhaeghe Pils (the breweries pilsner style beer for local distribution); Cambrinus (a copper coloured hoppy ale); and Christmas-Verhaeghe (the breweries' Christmas style beer).

Oud Bruin, also known as Flanders Brown, is a style of beer originating from the Flemish region of Belgium. The Dutch name refers to the long aging process, up to a year. It undergoes a secondary fermentation, which takes several weeks to a month, and is followed by bottle aging for several more months. The extended aging allows residual yeast and bacteria to develop a sour flavor characteristic for this style. Usually, cultured yeast and bacteria are used, as stainless steel equipment does not harbor wild organisms as wood does.
Vichte is a village in the municipality of Anzegem, in the south of West Flanders, Flanders, Belgium. It has 4,345 inhabitants (2004). Small, densely populated village with an important textile industry. Famous for its 12th century Roman Catholic church and its privately owned castle. It is also the location of Brewery Verhaeghe, well known for its Flemish Red Ales.

Duchesse de Bourgogne is a Flanders red ale-style beer produced by Brouwerij Verhaeghe in Vichte, Belgium. After a primary and secondary fermentation, this ale is matured in oak barrels for 18 months. The final product is a blend of a younger 8-month-old beer with an 18-month-old beer. The name of the beer is meant to honour Duchess Mary of Burgundy, the only daughter of Charles the Bold. She was born in Brussels in 1457, and died in a horse riding accident. Like all Flemish red ales, Duchesse de Bourgogne has a characteristically sour, fruity flavour similar to that of lambic beers.

Brasserie Thiriez is a small craft brewery located in Esquelbecq, a town in the Arrondissement of Dunkirk in the Nord département, in the Hauts-de-France région of France, quite close to the Belgian border. It is situated on the grounds that formerly housed the Poitevin farm brewery, which was active and served the local area until 1945. The current brewery was founded in 1996 by Daniel Thiriez, who had become interested in homebrewing as a college student, and later left his career as a "human resources professional for a large supermarket chain" in the interest of reviving the tradition of the small village brewery. It exports beers in Europe, and the USA.
Alvinne is a small brewery in the hamlet of Moen near the Belgian city of Zwevegem, founded in 2002.
The Smisje Brewery, with a tiny production of only 200 hectoliters per year, is one of the smallest existing Belgian craft breweries. Begun in 1995 by former printer and homebrewer Johan Brandt, it was originally titled "De Regenboog", the same name as his earlier printing business. Brandt is also a bee-keeper, which accounts for the prominent use of honey in some of the brewery's offerings, including its first commercial beer, which was named 't Smisje or "the little blacksmith" to reflect the hand-crafted nature of the product as well as a local landmark blacksmith's house near the brewery's original location.
