The Vermont Catamounts men's ice hockey statistical leaders are individual statistical leaders of the Vermont Catamounts men's ice hockey program in various categories, [1] including goals, assists, points, and saves. Within those areas, the lists identify single-game, single-season, and career leaders. The Catamounts represent the University of Vermont in the NCAA's Hockey East.

Gutterson Fieldhouse is a 4,035-seat hockey arena in Burlington, Vermont. It is home to the Vermont Catamounts men's and women's ice hockey teams. It is the largest indoor arena in the state of Vermont. It is adjacent to Patrick Gymnasium and Forbush Natatorium at the school's athletic complex. It is named for Albert Gutterson, class of 1912, the school's first Olympian. He set an Olympic record with a 7.60 meter long jump, beating, among others, the great Jim Thorpe.

The Vermont Catamounts are the varsity intercollegiate athletic programs of the University of Vermont, based in Burlington, Vermont, United States. The school sponsors 18 athletic programs, most of which compete in the NCAA Division I America East Conference (AEC), of which the school has been a member since 1979. The men's and women's ice hockey programs compete in Hockey East. The men's and women's alpine and nordic skiing teams compete in the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA). The school's athletic director is Jeff Schulman.

The 2009–10 Vermont Catamounts women's ice hockey season was coached by head coach Tim Bothwell, assisted by Grant Kimball and Mike Gilligan. The athletic trainer was Grant Wilson, and the strength & conditioning coach was Justin Goulet.

The Catamount Cup is an annual men's college ice hockey tournament hosted by the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. The tournament is contested by the Vermont Catamounts and three visiting teams. Since the inaugural tournament in 1990, it has been held on and off either just before or after New Year's Eve.

The Vermont Catamounts women's ice hockey program represents the University of Vermont. The Catamounts compete in Hockey East. Their first year of varsity women's hockey was in 1998–99. The Catamounts were in the ECAC at the Division III level of competition. In 2001–02, the Catamounts moved up to Division I. For the 2005–06 season, the Catamounts moved to Hockey East.

The 2007–08 Vermont Catamounts season was their third in Hockey East. Led by head coach Tim Bothwell, the Catamounts had 8 victories, compared to 25 defeats and 1 tie. Their conference record was 4 victories, 16 defeats and 1 tie.

The 2004–05 Vermont Catamounts women's ice hockey season was the team's final season in the ECAC. Led by head coach Dennis Miller, the Catamounts had 5 victories, compared to 26 defeats and 3 ties. Their conference record was 3 victories, 17 defeats and 0 ties.

The Vermont Catamounts men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents the University of Vermont. The Catamounts are a member of Hockey East, joining in 2005 after competing in ECAC Hockey from 1974 to 2005. They play home games at Gutterson Fieldhouse in Burlington, Vermont. Vermont has appeared in the NCAA Men's Hockey Championship six times since making the move to Division I in 1974–75, including trips to the Frozen Four in 1996 and 2009.

Mike Gilligan is a retired American ice hockey coach. He was the head coach at Vermont from 1983 through 2003 and later became an assistant with the UVM women's team for seven more seasons before retiring in 2014.
