Vestoppland is a traditional district in Innlandet, Norway.

The name, Western Uplands, stems from a time when the district was the western part of the Uplands. It now consists of the districts Land, Hadeland, Toten and Gjøvik (which itself consists of Gjøvik city and Tverrdalene).

Vestoppland Police District consists of the district Vestoppland in addition to Valdres.

Alna Line

The Alna Line is a 4.3-kilometer (2.7 mi) railway line between Alnabru and Grefsen in Oslo, Norway. The single track line allows direct access between the Trunk Line and the Gjøvik Line, without having to pass via Oslo Central Station. The line is electrified and is owned by the Norwegian National Rail Administration. It is exclusively used by freight trains, and allows trains on the Bergen Line to reach Alnabru Freight Terminal.

The natural range of the carnivorous plant genus Heliamphora is restricted to the southern Venezuelan states of Amazonas and Bolívar, and to adjacent portions of northern Brazil and western Guyana, an area corresponding to the western part of the Guayana Shield.
