The United States, Mexico and Honduras qualified. The fourth-place finisher, Costa Rica, played a two-game playoff with the CONMEBOL fifth-place finisher, Uruguay, for a possible fourth berth.

The top three teams in the tournament – W Connection, Puerto Rico Islanders, and San Juan Jabloteh – qualified for the 2009–10 CONCACAF Champions League.
The 2009 CONCACAF U-20 Championship qualifying tournament determined the Caribbean and Central American Under-20 association football national teams that would participate in the 2009 CONCACAF U-20 Championship, which itself will qualify national teams to the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Qualification began on 14 May 2008. The final round of qualification was a one-game playoff on 2 March 2009, between the runner-up from the Caribbean zone, St Vincent and the Grenadines, and the 3rd-place finisher from the Central American zone, Honduras. The three North American zone nations, Canada, Mexico, and the United States, as well as tournament hosts Trinidad and Tobago, were automatically entered into the final tournament without need for qualification.
The National Cricket Stadium, previously known as Queen's Park, is the name of a cricket stadium complex on River Road, Grenada in the Caribbean. A Grenada cricket team first appeared in West Indian cricket in 1887 against a touring Gentlemen of America team at the old Queen's Park.[3] Ten years later the team was recorded playing against Lord Hawke's touring team, though unlike several matches during the tour, this match did not have first-class status.[3] In 1899, G. A. de Freitas and William Mignon became the first Grenada cricketers to play first-class cricket. The Newly rebuilt Queen's Park Stadium was a location for the 2007 Cricket World Cup. It became the 84th Test venue in 2002 when it hosted its first match between West Indies and New Zealand. As of 18 August 2014, two test matches have taken place at the Ground.

The qualifying competition for the 2010 Caribbean Championship was a football tournament held from 2 October to 14 November 2010 to determine the qualifying teams for the 2010 Caribbean Championship. 21 teams entered the qualifying competition, with six teams qualifying for the final tournament. The tournament was played over two rounds. In the first round, the 15 lowest ranked teams competed in three groups of four and one group of three in a round-robin. The winners of the four groups and the two best runners-up of the three groups of four advanced to the second round. In the second round, the six qualifying teams from the first round joined the second through seventh highest ranked teams from the 2008 Caribbean Championship to compete in three groups of four in a round-robin. The two best teams from each group advanced to join Martinique and Jamaica in the final tournament.
The 2019 Caribbean Club Shield was the second edition of the Caribbean Club Shield, the second-tier annual international club football competition in the Caribbean region, held amongst clubs whose football associations are affiliated with the Caribbean Football Union (CFU), a sub-confederation of CONCACAF. The tournament was played in Curaçao between 5–15 April 2019.
