Video Smash Hits was an Australian music television show which was broadcast on the Seven Network in the early- to mid-1990s. It is not to be confused with Video Hits , Network Ten's long running music video show which aired opposite Video Smash Hits on Saturday mornings. Both shows shared the same format.
Video Smash Hits featured four hosts during the run of the series: Michael Horrocks, Home and Away's Emily Symons, Toni Pearen, and A Country Practice's Kym Wilson (who replaced Symons after she left the show "in disgust").
The popularity of the program also saw two compilation CDs released and a variety of 'Video Magazines' from 1991 to 1993 in association with the popular music magazine Smash Hits .
Kim Wilde is an English pop singer, DJ and television presenter. She first saw success in 1981 with her debut single "Kids in America", which peaked at No. 2 in the UK. In 1983, she received the Brit Award for Best British Female solo artist. In 1986, she had a UK No. 2 hit with a reworked version of the Supremes' song "You Keep Me Hangin' On", which also topped the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1987. Between 1981 and 1996, she had 25 singles that charted within the Top 50 of the UK Singles Chart. Her other hits include "Chequered Love" (1981), "You Came" (1988), and "Never Trust a Stranger" (1988). In 2003, she collaborated with Nena on the song "Anyplace, Anywhere, Anytime", which topped the Dutch charts.

Redmond Symons is an English-born Australian musician and television and radio personality. He was the lead guitarist in the band Skyhooks, the snide judge of 'Red Faces' and a judge on talent search show Australia's Got Talent. He hosted ABC Radio Melbourne's breakfast show from 2003 until 2017.

Smash Hits was a British music magazine aimed at young adults, originally published by EMAP. It ran from 1978 to 2006, and, after initially appearing monthly, was issued fortnightly during most of that time. The name survived as a brand for a spin-off digital television channel, now named Box Hits, and website. A digital radio station was also available but closed on 5 August 2013.
Mark Trevorrow is an Australian comedian, television host and media personality. In the early 1980s he had two Top 20 hits as part of Globos with Wendy De Waal, and in 1984 he debuted "Bob Downe", who went on to become his best-known character. After being very successful at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1987, Trevorrow split his time touring between England and Australia. He has appeared extensively on television, released four albums, and written a book.

Emily Symons is an Australian-born actress, active on both Australian and British television. She is known for playing Anne Costello in the short-lived soap opera Richmond Hill in 1988 and when that series ended, from 1989, she started playing Marilyn Chambers-Fisher in Home and Away. After almost ten years in that role, Symons moved to the UK and was immediately cast as Louise Appleton in the British soap Emmerdale. She also took part in the British show Dancing on Ice in 2007. She then returned to Australia in 2010 to reprise her role as Marilyn in Home and Away.
Video Hits was an Australian music video program that first aired on 15 February 1987. From 7 May 2011 it broadcast on Network Ten for two hours each Saturday and Sunday morning: 10am – 12pm on Saturdays and 8am – 10am on Sundays. At the time of its cancellation, Video Hits was the world's second longest running music show after the Eurovision Song Contest. The show was cancelled in July 2011 and its last episode aired on 6 August 2011.

Box Hits was a British commercial television channel owned by Channel Four Television Corporation. The channel broadcast general pop music in shows such as Chartbusters, which was recent music and Pop Domination, which showcased new and old music. It also shows other programmes such as themed countdowns and charts such as Top 50 Boy Bands. The channel also had hours dedicated to a particular artist or band such as Pussycat Dolls: Ultimate 10. It was originally based on the former Smash Hits magazine, which was owned by EMAP. The channel shut down on 29 June 2022 at 6am and was replaced with a new version of 4Music.
AMV was a music video show broadcast by the Seven Network between 2000 and 2002. It aired between 7.30am and 9am every weekday, following the 90 minute-long Sunrise news bulletin. It was cancelled in February 2002 when Sunrise expanded into a three-hour-long format.

Eclipse Music TV was an Australian music television show which was broadcast every Sunday from 12:30pm on GO!. The show was referred to as AllPhones Eclipse Music TV, after its major sponsor All Phones. The first series went to air on the Seven Network in 2005, Eclipse Music TV quickly became Australia's number one Saturday music chart show til 2007. Its final show on the Seven Network aired on 28 November 2009, before moving to GO! on 8 April 2010. The series ended in 2013.

He is seen regularly on Food Network on shows such as Iron Chef America, Burgers, Brew and 'Que, Food Feuds, and The Best Thing I Ever Ate, as well as Cook Like an Iron Chef on theCooking Channel and The Chew on ABC.
