The Women's tournament of volleyball at the 2017 Bolivarian Games in Santa Marta, Colombia, was held between November 12 and November 16. All games were played at the Coliseo Municipal. [1] The Dominican Republic won the tournament, Peru and Colombia followed. [2]

The Bolivarian Games are a regional multi-sport event held in honor of Simón Bolívar, and organized by the Bolivarian Sports Organization. The event is open to athletes from Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela. In 2010, the ODEBO decided to include Chile as the seventh member of ODEBO. Except Panama, all other participating countries are Andean states.
The 2013–14 Liga Nacional Superior de Voleibol Femenino or 2013-14 LNSVF was the 12th official season of the Peruvian Volleyball League. Universidad San Martín won the league championship.
Brayelin Elizabeth Martínez is a Dominican volleyball player who won the bronze medal in the 2015 Pan American Games as a member of the Dominican Republic national team. She played in the 2014 Senior World Championship and the 2011 and 2015 FIVB World Cup.
Jineiry Martínez is a Dominican volleyball player who played the 2015 FIVB World Cup with the Dominican Republic national team. She won the bronze medal in the 2015 Pan American Games. With her under ages national teams, she won the gold medal in the 2015 FIVB U20 World Championship, silver in the 2013 FIVB U23 World Championship and bronze in the 2015 FIVB U23 World Championship.
