Wacol railway station is located on the Main line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the Brisbane suburb of Wacol. It is the last station on the Ipswich line located within Brisbane.
Gailes railway station is located on the Main line in Queensland, Australia. Despite the name, it is not in the suburb of Gailes, City of Ipswich, but in the neighbouring suburb in Wacol, City of Brisbane. In 1919, the station was named Dingo Hill and renamed in 1925 to Gailes.

Camp Columbia was a United States Army military camp located in Wacol, near Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was built during World War II to accommodate American troops. The Sixth US Army Headquarters was stationed there and it was an Officer Candidate School from 1942 to 1945. After World War II, it was used by the Australian military and then served as a migrant reception and training center. The camp was then known as the "Wacol East Dependants Holding Camp for Displaced Persons". The old Wacol Army Barracks had been converted into the Wacol Military Museum.

Cross River Rail is an underground heavy rail project currently under construction in Brisbane, Australia. The project will see the development of a new rail line underneath Brisbane River, and the redevelopment of a number of stations in the Brisbane central business district and along the Beenleigh railway line. The business case for the project was released in August 2017, with construction work officially beginning in September that year. The project replaced the planned 2013 BaT Tunnel, which in turn had replaced the original 2010 Cross River Rail proposal.
