Waking Hour originated from the Spokane WAprog metal band Eightfold Path. Guitarist Mike Calvert and singer Aaron Potter relocated to Seattle and joined original 8FP drummer Tony Duncan to reform the band under the new moniker.
Waking Hour has been featured on the online radio shows Audio Aggression and Stack and Di in Overdrive. Their songs have also been played on WKTF The Edge Worldwide, Dementiaradio.com, and MetalStorm radio.
Waking Hour has been reviewed by The Music Blog, Metal Hammer Magazine (Greece) in the "Thinking Man's Metal Page" section, and Seattle Metal Online.
Since their inception, Waking Hour has carved out their unique niche in the vast Progressive Metal landscape. By concentrating on writing smart, well-arranged, yet technical songs, the band has strayed away from the overindulgence normally associated with the genre. At times, Waking Hour has been loosely compared to Savatage, Fates Warning, and Queensryche.
The spring of 2007 saw the release of Waking Hour's much-anticipated debut CD "Hollow Man". The disc was met with critical acclaim by many publications around the world including Metal Hammer and The Metal Observer. Later that year, the song "Hollow Man" appeared on the ProgPower USA VIII sampler.
Waking Hour has had the privilege of playing with some of their favorite bands including Kamelot, Sonata Arctica, Edguy, Epica, Into Eternity, Stratovarius, Cellador, and Visions of Atlantis. This, along with extensive internet radio airplay, has helped the band garner a steadily growing cult following.

Alice in Chains is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1987. Since 2006, the band's lineup has comprised vocalist/guitarists Jerry Cantrell and William DuVall, bassist Mike Inez and drummer Sean Kinney. Vocalist Layne Staley and bassist Mike Starr are former members of the band, having died in 2002 and 2011, respectively. The band took its name from Staley's previous group, Alice N' Chains. Often associated with grunge music, Alice in Chains' sound and style is deeply rooted in heavy metal music. The band is known for its distinctive vocal style, which often included the harmonized vocals between Staley and Cantrell, making Alice in Chains a two-vocal band.

Shadow Gallery is an American progressive metal band formed in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania during the early 1980s. It was originally called Sorcerer. After changing their name to Shadow Gallery, taken from the graphic novel V for Vendetta by Alan Moore, and recording a short 8-track demo, the band was signed to Magna Carta Records in 1991. Shadow Gallery's eponymous debut was released the following year in Japan and Europe. In mid-2005, Shadow Gallery released their fifth studio album, Room V, on the European-American independent label Inside Out.
Antimatter, a UK dark rock band, is the solo project of longtime founding member Mick Moss. The project was originally a duo composed of founding member Duncan Patterson and Moss, being essentially an amalgamation of two solo projects working in tandem with each other, with each member writing and arranging their songs alone and compiling them in the studio later on to create an album. In this manner, the pair released three albums together, Saviour, Lights Out and Planetary Confinement, after which Patterson left, in 2005, to start another band Íon. Moss continued Antimatter as an extension of his own timeline established throughout the first three discs, releasing the project's fourth album Leaving Eden in 2007.
