Waldon is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 5,133 at the 2000 census. The Antioch–SFO/Millbrae line of the Bay Area Rapid Transit system serves the surrounding area using the Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre Station with adjacent access to Interstate 680. The area has been undergoing a series of transit-oriented development projects under the auspices of the Contra Costa Centre Transit Village public/private partnership.

Born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, he is on death row in California for a crime spree which claimed three lives. On May 16, 1986, he became the 399th fugitive listed by the FBI on the Ten Most Wanted List. He was arrested June 16, 1986, in San Diego, California, after local police attempted to pull him over for a routine traffic citation. His deadly crime spree was featured in the book "Murders in Paradise" by Rose G. Handelberg.
