The Weber State Wildcats women's basketball team is the basketball team representing Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. The program is classified in the NCAA's Division I and is a member of the Big Sky Conference. [2]
Weber State began play in 1974. They played in the Intermountain from 1974 to 1980. They won the Big Sky regular season and tournament in 2002 and 2003. The Wildcats lost 51 consecutive Big Sky conference games from March 3, 2011 until February 15, 2014, when they beat Idaho State two days later. In that time, they had two winless conference seasons (including a 0–29 season in 2012–13). They made the WNIT in 1983 and the WBI in 2016. As of the end of the 2015–16 season, the Wildcats have an all-time record of 535–640. [3]

The Big Sky Conference is a collegiate athletic conference, affiliated with the NCAA's Division I with football competing in the Football Championship Subdivision. As of 2024, ten full member institutions are located in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. Two affiliate members from California are football–only participants.

The Wildcats were led by eighth year head coach Randy Rahe and played their home games at the Dee Events Center. They were members of the Big Sky Conference. They finished the season 19–12, 14–6 in Big Sky play to win the Big Sky regular season championship. They were also champions of the Big Sky Conference tournament to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament where they lost in the second round to Arizona.
The 1976 Big Sky Conference men's basketball tournament was held March 5–6 at the Wildcat Gym at Weber State College in Ogden, Utah. This was the first edition of the tournament.
Joel Bolomboy is a Ukrainian-born Russian professional basketball player for Crvena zvezda of the Serbian KLS, the ABA League and the EuroLeague. He played college basketball for the Weber State Wildcats, where he was named Big Sky Conference Player of the Year in 2016. He was born in Ukraine but received Russian citizenship in 2018.
The Arizona Wildcats women's basketball program is the official women's basketball program at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Basketball is one of eleven women's sports at the University of Arizona. The team is a Division I member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Big 12 athletic conference. The team's home venue is the McKale Center, which seats 14,545 fans. The official team colors are cardinal red and navy blue. The Wildcats have qualified for eight NCAA Tournaments. On August 4, 2023, Arizona announced it would join the Big 12 Conference along with Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah beginning in the 2024-25 academic year.

The Wildcats were led by sixth year head coach Bethann Ord and played their home games at the Dee Events Center. They were members of the Big Sky Conference. They finished the season 21–10, 11–7 in Big Sky play to finish in a tie for third place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky women's tournament to Idaho State. They were invited to the WBI, where they defeated Texas Southern in the first round before losing to Central Arkansas in the quarterfinals.
