Wielert's, built in 1873, was once a famous beer garden in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. [1] OTR Predevelopment, a subsidiary of 3cdc bought this property along with others on Vine St. on July 30, 2010. (Hamilton County Auditor)

Second Happy Time Period of naval battles during the Second World War

The "Second Happy Time", also known among German submarine commanders as the "American Shooting Season", was the informal name for the Operation Paukenschlag, a phase in the Battle of the Atlantic during which Axis submarines attacked merchant shipping and Allied naval vessels along the east coast of North America. A continuous flow intersection (CFI), also called a crossover displaced left-turn, is an alternative design for an at-grade road junction. Vehicles attempting to turn across the opposing direction of traffic cross before they enter the intersection. No left turn signal in the intersection is then necessary. Instead, vehicles traveling in both directions can proceed, including through vehicles and those turning right or left, when a generic traffic signal/stop sign permits.

St. Francis Seraph Church is a Roman Catholic parish in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was established in 1859 by Franciscan Friars of Province Of St. John the Baptist on the site of the first Catholic Church in Cincinnati, "Christ Church" which was built in 1819. Bishop Fenwick, in 1822, decided to move Christ Church to a location on Sycamore Street where St. Francis Xavier now stands. The church attempted to move the original frame church but it collapsed and fell apart.

The Karl Limper Geology Museum is located in Shideler Hall at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. It is located off the lobby on the main level of the building. The museum was established in 1968 and contains a collection of ore minerals, meteorites, and a 16 inch trilobite. Much of the basis of the collection was collected by William H. Shideler, founder of Miami's geology program. The museum was funded by donations from alumni including James Wolff.

Sheridan State Scenic Corridor

Sheridan State Scenic Corridor is a state park in the Columbia River Gorge, west of Cascade Locks, Oregon. The 11-acre (4.5 ha) property, containing an old-growth forest, is located on the south side of Interstate 84 at approximately milepoint 42.5, and was not accessible by motor vehicle since I-84 was built in 1960. However, with the opening of the Eagle Creek-Cascade Locks segment of the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail in 1998, it has become easily accessible by foot or bicycle. The park is on a triangular lot, completely surrounded by I-84 and the Mount Hood National Forest.
