Washington Street is the name of a major east-west street in downtown Cape May, New Jersey. It begins at Lafayette Street and (officially) ends at Ocean Street. Unofficially, there is a famous walkway, named the Washington Street Mall, between Ocean Street and Perry Street. Washington Street Mall is filled with restaurants and stores, and, beside Cape May's beaches and Victorian houses, is one of the city's most noticeable features. Hardscrabble River is the estuary of Wilson Stream, a small river in Washington County, Maine. From its source in Charlotte, Wilson Stream runs about 10 miles (16 km) southeast to Dennys Bay. It changes name to Hardscrabble River at about the point where it is crossed by U.S. Route 1. This section of the stream separates Pembroke on its left bank from Dennysville and Edmunds on its right.

Named by United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) for Charles Swithinbank, British glaciologist, a participant in several British, New Zealand and American expeditions to Antarctica, 1949-62.

National Cycle Network (NCN) Route 665 is a Sustrans route from Wetherby to South West York. Two sections of the route are open. As of summer 2017 the route is not fully signed. The central section between Tadcaster and Thorp Arch Trading Estate is still a proposal.
