Windstorm (German : Ostwind) is a 2013 German adventure film about a horse named Windstorm (German: Ostwind) directed by Katja von Garnier. [1] It is the first movie of a series about the titular horse. Windstorm was portrayed by three different horses.
Mika, the granddaughter of a stable owner aids a horse who does not like being feared and distrusted by gaining the trust of the horse. In that process she learns horse riding in an unconventional way. And doing so saves the horse from getting sent to a slaughterhouse.
Windstorm is the story of the teenage girl Mika, who, after accidentally setting fire to her teacher's car, gets sent to her grandmother's stable over the holidays, where she is supposed to learn discipline and order. Unexpectedly, though, she learns that she's not only a naturally talented rider, but also speaks the language of the horses. Windstorm is the direct ancestor of the legendary mare Halla, who was known for carrying her hurt rider to the Olympic victory. Mika finds out she is the only one with the ability to ride and tame Windstorm, who is known to be a dangerous horse, and they share an unbreakable, almost magical bond from the start. Windstorm is a movie for all people who love horses, whether young or old.

Horse Sense is a 1999 American drama film that was released as a Disney Channel Original Movie. It was written by Chad Hayes and Carey W. Hayes, and directed by Greg Beeman. It stars brothers Joey and Andy Lawrence. Joey Lawrence was also a co-producer for the film. The film was followed by a 2001 sequel titled Jumping Ship.

Horseland is an American animated series produced by DIC Entertainment. It is a comic mischief program following the events in the lives of a group of children riding at Horseland, an equestrian school and stables. Their adventures include riding their horses and entering them in competitions to test their skill and friendships. The show premiered on September 16, 2006, as part of CBS's new Saturday morning cartoon block, KOL Secret Slumber Party on CBS later KEWLopolis. Concurrent with the series, the online virtual pet game that it was based upon was updated to complement the show by launching a new "Junior version" of the game based on the program and featuring its various characters and locations. After three seasons, the show was canceled on CBS and aired its final episode on December 6, 2008. Reruns of Horseland subsequently aired nationwide on the digital subchannel This TV; two episodes aired each weekend until September 2010. Horseland last aired as part of Cookie Jar TV on CBS. It has 7 books for the series related to the episodes which are available to be purchased online.

Black Beauty is a 2020 adventure drama family film written, edited and directed by Ashley Avis and based on the 1877 novel of the same name by Anna Sewell. Originally scheduled for a theatrical release, it was unable to be released in cinemas due to the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The film's distribution rights were acquired by Walt Disney Studios and was released on the company's streaming service Disney+ on November 27, 2020. It received mixed reviews from critics. The film was removed from Disney+ on May 26, 2023.

While the film is completely fictional, several real members of the Fletcher Street riding community play supporting characters who give voice to real issues that the community faces.
