"With Hands United" is the award-nominated theme song for Project Hope (Singapore). [1] It is written by award nominated writers Mayuni Omar, Sharmila Melissa Yogalingam, and Singapore Idol contestant Mathilda D'Silva. [1] [2]
Project Hope (Singapore) is a national televised fundraising program from Singapore, organized by Mediacorp, that is shown internationally every year. Its aim is to raise funds for the needy and those hit by catastrophe. Celebrity Asian television and film actors, famous singers and other well-known personalities from the region regularly appear on the show to perform and present, as part of the show's appeal to the public to donate.
Singapore Idol is a reality television singing competition created by Simon Fuller and produced by MediaCorp Studios and FremantleMedia Operations BV. It began airing on MediaCorp Channel 5 on 9 August 2004, as an addition to the Idol franchise based on the UK show Pop Idol, and became one of the most popular shows in the history of Singaporean television.
