The Wynnum Manly District Cricket Club is a cricket club representing Wynnum, Queensland and Manly, Queensland, Australia. They have teams in the Brisbane Grade Cricket, Queensland Sub-Districts and The Warehouse Cricket competitions. They were founded in 1961. Wynnum also has a junior club that competes in the EDJCA (Eastern Districts Junior Cricket Association) and BEARs (Bayside, Easts and Redlands Junior Cricket Association). In Season 2024/25 Wynnum Manly District Cricket Club (WMDCC) will enter its 64th season. It has become one of the leading premier cricket clubs in Brisbane at all playing levels for male, female and junior cricket. WMDCC have an impressive record of achievements including five first grade premierships and a growing honour roll of international and state cricketers Wynnum Manly District Cricket Club is the Senior grade cricket club encapsulating the following Eastern District Junior Cricket Association (EDJCA) clubs: Wynnum Juniors, Holland Park, Carina, Bulimba, Mansfield, and Villanova. WMDCC also has ties with: Mater Hill, Mansfield Lions, the Brisbane Cricket League, Coorparoo Cricket Club, APNA and affiliations with: Action Indoor Sports Wynnum (Wynnum Seagulls Indoor Cricket), and Warehouse Cricket. Wynnum Manly Junior Cricket Club is a family orientated club catering for young boys and girls from the ages of 5 to 17 which formulates part of the overarching WMDCC. We are dedicated to supporting children to learn and grow as individuals and members of our community.

The earliest known records of regular soccer games in Brisbane date from the early 1880s, when a group comprising mostly Scottish immigrants commenced playing at Queen's Park, adjacent to Alice and Edward Streets in the city and vacant land in Melbourne Street South Brisbane, between Grey and Stanley Streets.
