Xero Competition was an auto racing team based in Great Britain. They operated from premises in Warrington, in the North-West of England. They competed in the 2006 MSA Dunlop British Touring Car Championship.
Xero Competition have been represented in a number of national British motorsport championships before graduating to the BTCC in 2006. They entered Chevrolet Corvette's in the N-GT Class of British GT Championship and achieved respectable success in 2003 and 2004, including podium finishes with both the Xero Corvette and the Xero-run Embassy Racing Corvette. In 2005 they achieved early success but withdrew after the opening rounds due to financial problems. They have however continued to run the "yellow" Corvette in Belcar and Rhino's GT series as well as running the ex-Embassy car in the FFSA GT Championship.
During autumn 2005 Xero purchased two Lexus IS200 cars that had previously been raced in Production form in the Dutch Touring Car Championship. The program was suspended in spring 2006, as the team had failed to secure sufficient backing to allow them to compete in the series. However, in the weeks following the opening rounds at Brands Hatch, the team agreed a deal with Adam Jones, with sponsorship from engineering firm Air Cool Engineering.
The team made their debut in round three at Oulton Park, and although they have had a number of problems with the car, they scored their first ever BTCC points at Donington Park (on 30 July), where Adam Jones finished in 10th place in race 2. The team temporarily withdrew from the series to concentrate on development work on the Lexus after Donington Park, returning at Knockhill on the first weekend of September.
Xero Competition have also fielded cars in Radical series, and have continued to do so alongside the British Touring Car programme. Where Junior Ginetta champion Toby Newton achieved several podium finishes in the Radical championship and the "Radical World Cup" supporting the LMES round at Donington Park and also at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium, Toby finished 4th overall in the 2006 championship.
Donington Park is a motorsport circuit located near Castle Donington in Derbyshire, England. The circuit business is now owned by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation, and the surrounding Donington Park Estate, still owned by the Wheatcroft family, is currently under lease by MotorSport Vision until 2038. It has a capacity of 120,000, and is also the venue of the Download Festival.
The 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season was the 49th British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. As in 2005, there were ten racing weekends at nine different circuits; each round comprising three races, making a thirty round competition in total.
The 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season was the 50th British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. It was won by Fabrizio Giovanardi with 10 race wins and 17 podiums. Going into the final race, Fabrizio Giovanardi was one point behind Jason Plato but a second place for Giovanardi and a fourth place for Plato resulted in Giovanardi taking the championship by 3 points. The Teams' championship was won by SEAT Sport UK, the Manufacturers' championship was won by Vauxhall, the Independents' Trophy was won by Colin Turkington and the Independent Teams' championship was won by Team RAC.
Team Dynamics Motorsport was a UK-based motor-racing team based in Droitwich, Worcestershire; best known for their successes in the British Touring Car Championship, including winning the Overall Drivers title in 2005, 2006 and 2011 with Matt Neal and 2012, 2015 and 2016 with Gordon Shedden. The team was founded by Steve Neal and former driver of Vic Lee Motorsport, Ray Bellm when they acquired its assets in 1993. For the following season, Bellm, having bought a majority stake in the Silverstone-based motorsport equipment retailer, Grand Prix Racewear, also acquired a McLaren F1 GTR and went his own way.
The 2001 theAA.com MSA British Touring Car Championship season was the 44th British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season and marked the beginning of a new era of lower-cost rules and regulations for the series. The season saw a rivalry between Vauxhall teammates Jason Plato and Yvan Muller for the title.

Tom Ferrier is a British racing driver. He had a long running karting career, a milestone was winning the 1998 British Championship. He also won the Star Cup of the Formula Renault Championship the following year, before switching to more entertaining and less competitive saloon cars.
Thomas Michael Onslow-Cole is a former British racing driver. He won the International GT Open in Pro-Am category in 2018 and in 2019 and the 24H Series in 2015.
Matt Allison is a British racing driver. He is most well known for winning the 2006 British GT Championship and for racing in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). He progressed through the ranks of British Karting, winning two championships and two runner-up trophies before moving to Formula Ford in the 2000.
Embassy Racing was a British auto racing team founded by Jonathan France in 2003. Initially created as a conjunction with Xero Competition in the British GT Championship, the team expanded to become an independent team and began to win races in British GT before the team took a sabbatical year in 2006. Upon their return to motorsport, Embassy moved to the international Le Mans Series, running in a Le Mans Prototype class, as well as entering the British Superbike Championship's junior leagues, the Supersport and Superstock Championships, running with the support of Triumph Motorcycles under the MAP Embassy Triumph banner.
Andrew Phillip Jordan is a British racing driver, who has driven in the British Touring Car Championship. He was the 2013 British Touring Car Champion.
Motorbase Performance is a British motor racing team, founded in 2004 by former Production Saloon racer David Bartrum. They are best known for competing in the British Touring Car Championship.
Thomas "Tommy" Erdos is a Brazilian auto racing driver. A two-time Le Mans Series champion and 24 Hours of Le Mans winner in LMP2, he has raced for most of his career in Great Britain and Europe, where he currently resides in Buckinghamshire, England.
Vincent Radermecker is a Belgian racing driver.
David Robert Newsham is a British racing driver and businessman. He is the managing director of Norscott Vending. He raced in the British Touring Car Championship from 2011 to 2017, but in 2016, he competed in the British Rallycross Championship, only entering two rounds of the BTCC in place of Kelvin Fletcher.
Speedworks Motorsport is a British motor racing team based in Great Budworth, Cheshire. The team was formed in 2005 by Christian and Amy Dick. They are best known for competing in the British Touring Car Championship since 2011, and since 2021 have entered under the name of Toyota Gazoo Racing UK. They also compete in the 24H Series.
Tom Ingram is a British racing driver, currently racing in the British Touring Car Championship for Team Bristol Street Motors. Having won the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2010 and the G50 class of the Ginetta GT Supercup in 2011, Ingram was named a British Racing Drivers' Club Rising Star in 2011. He won his first BTCC race at the first round of the 2016 season at Brands Hatch. Ingram is the 2022 British Touring Car champion.
Robb Holland is an American racing driver who has competed in several international racing series. Most notably the British Touring Car Championship where in 2014, Holland became the first American driver in history to compete full-time in the series driving Rotek Racing's Audi S3. Holland is also the first American ever to compete in the World Touring Car Championship when he drove for Bamboo Engineering in the 2012 FIA WTCC Race of the United States at Sonoma Raceway, California.
Andrew Robert Watson is a British racing driver from Northern Ireland currently competing in the British Touring Car Championship for Toyota Gazoo Racing UK.
