Yashodhara Higher Secondary School is a higher secondary school in the eastern hilly region of Nepal. It is in a small town of Taksar, Bhojpur. It was named after Yashodhara, the wife of Siddhartha Gautama, who later became Gautama Buddha, the primary figure of the Buddhist religion. The school was established in year 1974. It is a public school run by the Nepal government.
The school lies in the lap of a small hill covered with forest called Raniban. There are three big taps of naturally flowing spring water. This water is the source of drinking water to the students of the school and the locals around the school. There is a public library in the northern side of the school.
The school lies at about a half-hour walking distance from Bhojpur, the district headquarters.

Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, was the ninth King of Nepal from 13 March 1955 until his death in 1972, which was due to heart attack as told in an interview by his personal physician Dr. Mrigendra Raj Pandey. Following the 1960 coup d'état, he established the partyless Panchayat system which governed the country for 28 years until the introduction of multiparty democracy in 1990. During his reign, Nepal experienced a period of industrial, political and economic change which opened it to the rest of the world for the first time after the 104-year-long reign of the Rana rulers, who kept the country under an isolationist policy, came to an end in 1951.

Maya Devi Temple is an ancient Buddhist temple situated at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lumbini, Nepal. It is the main temple at Lumbini, a site traditionally considered the birthplace of Gautama Buddha. The temple stands adjacent to a sacred pool and a sacred garden. The archaeological remains at the site were previously dated to the third-century BCE brick buildings constructed by Ashoka. A sixth-century BCE timber shrine was discovered in 2013.
