Åland24 is a privately owned local television channel broadcasting mainly online and in the urban areas of Åland, an autonomous province of Finland.

Åland24 began its operations during the fall of 2007, with its first broadcast occurring in October that year. [1] The largest owner is Nya Ålands Tidningsaktiebolag. [2] Productions include daily news broadcasts, weekly sports shows and debate shows.

The Sea of Åland is a waterway in the southern Gulf of Bothnia, between the Åland islands and Sweden. It connects the Bothnian Sea with the Baltic Sea proper. The seas are often choppy here. The narrowest part is named South Kvarken. The trench running on the bottom of the Sea of Åland contains the second-deepest spot of the Baltic Sea, at a depth of 301 meters, which is second only to Landsort Deep.

Åcon

Åcon is an annual science fiction convention, held in May or June every year in Mariehamn, Åland. It was founded in 2007 with the goal of bringing Swedish and Finnish science fiction fandom together, and described as being a literary relaxacon with all programming in English. While a few of the participants are Ålanders, the majority travel from mainland Finland and Sweden for the convention.

Önningeby is a village in Jomala Municipality on the Finnish island of Åland. It is located some 7 km northeast of Mariehamn.
