The Pakanic languages constitute a branch of two Austroasiatic languages, Bolyu and Bugan. They are spoken in Guangxi and Yunnan provinces of southern China. Mang was formerly included, but is now considered by Paul Sidwell to form its own separate branch within Austroasiatic.

Buyang is a Kra language spoken in Guangnan and Funing counties, Yunnan Province, China by the Buyang people. It is important to the reconstruction of the hypothetical macrofamily Austro-Tai as it retains the disyllabic roots characteristic of Austronesian languages. Examples are "to die", "eye", "head", and "eight".
Bugan, Bogan, Pakan, or Bugeng is an Austroasiatic language. The existence of the Bugan language was not known by the rest of world until recently. There are about 3000 speakers, mostly in some villages in southern Guangnan (广南) and northern Xichou (西畴), Yunnan Province, China. Bugan is an analytic language, and word order and auxiliary words have important functions in the grammar.

Tianlin County is a county in the west of Guangxi, China, bordering the provinces of Guizhou to the north and Yunnan to the south. It is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Baise.
Paha or Baha is a Kra language spoken in northern Guangnan County, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan. The two villages are located near the border with Longlin County, Guangxi. Paha is often considered to be part of the Buyang dialect cluster and is the most divergent form. Although listed in Ethnologue as Baha Buyang, Weera Ostapirat classifies Paha separately from the other Buyang varieties.
En is a Kra language spoken in Vietnam. Before its discovery in 1998, En language was undistinguished from Nùng, which is a Central Tai language closely related to Zhuang. In the late 1990s, Vietnamese linguist Hoàng Văn Ma had first recognized that it was not a Tai language, ultimately leading to field work distinguishing En as a separate language. Researchers have determined En to be one of the Buyang languages.
Li Jinfang is a Chinese linguist at Minzu University in Beijing, China. Li, an ethnic Zhuang, is a leading specialist in the Kra-Dai languages of southern China, especially the Kra (Geyang) branch. Li's doctoral dissertation focused on the Buyang language, and was published as Studies on the Buyang Language in 1999.
Jiangsu Zenith Steel Women's Volleyball Club is a Nanjing-based professional volleyball team competing in the Chinese Volleyball League. As the provincial team it represents Jiangsu at national competitions. The team won their first league champion title in season 2016/17.
A'ou (阿欧方言) or Red Gelao (红仡佬语) is an endangered Gelao language spoken by fewer than 100 people in Guizhou, China. Only the Hongfeng (红丰) and Bigong (比贡) dialects are still spoken, each with only a few dozen speakers.
Xu Zizhi Tongjian was a book chronicling Chinese history of the Song dynasty between 960 and 1279 and the Yuan dynasty between 1279 and 1370. Credited to Bi Yuan, a high-ranking politician in the Qing dynasty, the book was not completed until after his death in 1801 by Feng Jiwu (馮集梧). Authors include historians Yan Changming (嚴長明), Cheng Jinfang (程晉芳), Shao Jinhan (邵晉涵), Hong Liangji (洪亮吉), Sun Xingyan (孫星衍) and Zhang Xuecheng (章學誠). One of the many sequels to Sima Guang's landmark work Zizhi Tongjian, it follows the same format, including comments on differences from various sources. Of the 220 volumes only 38 are on the Yuan dynasty compared to 182 on the preceding Song dynasty.
Hagei (Hakei) or Green Gelao is a Gelao language spoken in China and Vietnam.
The FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup is an international volleyball competition contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. Initially the tournament was played in the year following the Olympic Games, but since 1991 the World Cup has been awarded in the year preceding the Olympic Games. The current champion is Turkey, which won its first title at the 2023 tournament.
Jizhao is an unclassified Kra-Dai language spoken in Jizhao Village 吉兆村, Tanba Town 覃巴镇, Wuchuan, Guangdong. It may be most closely related to Be. In Wuchuan, Jizhao is locally referred to as Haihua 海话, which is the term used elsewhere in Leizhou 雷州, Xuwen 徐闻, and Maoming 茂名 to refer to the local Minnan Chinese dialect of Leizhou.
Telue or White Gelao is a Gelao language spoken in China and Vietnam.
Sun Jinfang is a Chinese former volleyball player who played the setter position. She captained China to the gold medal at both the 1981 FIVB Women's World Cup and the 1982 FIVB Women's World Championship. She also won a silver medal at the 1978 Asian Games and a gold medal at the 1982 Asian Games.
