The 1982 Eastern 8 men's basketball tournament was the sixth annual postseason tournament of the Eastern Athletic Association, popularly known as the Eastern 8. This was also the last tournament to be branded as "Eastern 8"; in the following school year, the conference adopted its current name, the Atlantic 10 Conference. The first round was held at campus sites and the semifinals and final were held in Pittsburgh at the Civic Arena. Pittsburgh defeated West Virginia 79-72 to win their second tournament championship. Clyde Vaughan of Pittsburgh was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.

They finished the season 24–8, 15–1 in A-10 play to win the regular season conference championship. The Musketeers lost in the quarterfinals of the A-10 tournament to Dayton. The 2014 Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Atlantic Coast Conference held from March 12–16 in Greensboro, North Carolina, at the Greensboro Coliseum. This was the first ACC Tournament to include 15 teams, a result of the conference adding Syracuse, Pitt, and Notre Dame, and also the last to feature Maryland, which left after the season for the Big Ten Conference. Seeds #5 through #9 received a first-round bye, and the top four seeds received a first- and second-round "double bye".

It was held March 8–12, 2017 at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The championship was won by Rhode Island who defeated VCU in the championship game. As a result, Rhode Island received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

The 2018 ACC men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Atlantic Coast Conference held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York from March 6–10, 2018. It was the 65th annual edition of the tournament, and the second year in a row being held at Barclays Center. The Virginia Cavaliers entered the tournament as the top seed, with a 17–1 conference record under the guidance of Tony Bennett. UVA also began the tournament unanimously ranked number 1 in the country in both major polls.

The 1988 MAC men's basketball tournament was held March 8-10 at Centennial Hall in Toledo, Ohio. Top-seeded Eastern Michigan defeated Ohio in the championship game by the score of 94–80 to win their first MAC men's basketball tournament and a bid to the NCAA tournament. There they lost to Pittsburgh in the first round. Grant Long of Eastern Michigan was named the tournament MVP.
