2015 World Womens Handball Championship

The 2015 IHF World Women's Handball Championship, the 22nd event hosted by the International Handball Federation, was held in Denmark. The decision to select Denmark as the host was announced on 27 January 2011.

The 2009 Pan American Women's Handball Championship was the tenth edition of the Pan American Women's Handball Championship, which took place in Santiago from 23 to 27 June. It acted as the Pan American qualifying tournament for the 2009 World Women's Handball Championship.

The women's tournament of handball at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico will take place from 15 October to 23 October, All games were held at the San Rafael Gymnasium. The defending champions are Brazil, who won the title on home court. The winner of the competition will qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Great Britain.

2017 World Womens Handball Championship

The 2017 IHF World Women's Handball Championship, the 23rd event hosted by the International Handball Federation, was held in Germany from 1 to 17 December 2017. Germany was the only applicant for this championship. Germany was host of the World Championships in 1965 and 1997.

The 2012 Pan American Handball Championship, also called PanAmericano 2012, was the 15th official competition for senior men's national handball teams of North, Center, Caribbean and South America. It was held from 18 to 24 June 2012 in Burzaco, Almirante Brown Partido, Argentina. It also acted as the qualifying competition for the 2013 World Men's Handball Championship, securing three vacancies for the World Championship. A decision was announced during the 2011 Pan American Games that the tournament will consist of 12 teams. As the winner of those Pan American Games, Argentina was selected as the host.

The 2014 Pan American Men's Handball Championship, was the 16th official competition for senior men's national handball teams of North, Center, Caribbean and South America. It was held from 23 to 29 June 2014 in Uruguay. It also acted as the qualifying competition for the 2015 World Men's Handball Championship, securing three vacancies for the World Championship.

The qualification for the 2016 Men's Olympic Handball Tournament was held from January 2015 to April 2016. Twelve teams qualified, the hosts, the world champion, four continental event winners and six teams from the World Olympic qualification tournaments respectively.

2015 Mens Junior World Handball Championship

The 2015 IHF Men's Junior World Championship was the 20th edition of the tournament and held at Brazil from 19 July to 1 August 2015. The decision to select Brazil as the host was announced 1 August 2014. France won their first title by defeating Denmark 26–24 in the final.

2015 Mens Youth World Handball Championship

The 2015 IHF Men's Youth World Championship was the 6th edition of the tournament, held in Yekaterinburg, Russian Federation from 7 to 20 August 2015. France won their first title by defeating Slovenia 33–26 in the final.

2017 Mens Junior World Handball Championship

The 2017 IHF Men's Junior World Championship was the 21st edition of the tournament, held in Algiers, Algeria from 18 to 30 July 2017. It was the first time that Algeria staged the competition, and the third time that it was held in Africa.

2016 Womens Junior World Handball Championship Handball tournament

The 2016 Women's Junior World Handball Championship was the 20th edition of the tournament and took place in Moscow, Russia from 2 to 15 July 2016. Denmark won their second title after defeating Russia 32–28 in the final.

2016 Pan American Mens Handball Championship

The 2016 Pan American Men's Handball Championship was the 17th official competition for senior men's national handball teams of North, Center, Caribbean and South America. It was held from 11 to 19 June 2016 at the Tecnópolis in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It also acted as the qualifying competition for the 2017 World Men's Handball Championship in France, securing three vacancies for the World Championship.

The 2017 Pan American Women's Handball Championship was the 14th edition of the Pan American Women's Handball Championship, held in at the Sociedad Alemana de Gimnasia de Villa Ballester, in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina from 18 to 25 June 2017. It acted as American qualifying tournament for the 2017 World Women's Handball Championship. The event was originally set to be held in Toronto, Canada but the Canadian Handball Federation withdrew, citing lack of funds.

2017 Asian Womens Handball Championship

The 2017 Asian Women's Handball Championship was the 16th edition of the Asian Women's Handball Championship, which took place from 13 to 22 March 2017 in Suwon, South Korea. The tournament was held under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation. It was the second time that South Korea hosted the tournament, after the 1995 Championship. It also acted as the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2017 World Women's Handball Championship.

2017 Mens Youth World Handball Championship

The 2017 IHF Men's Youth World Championship was the seventh edition of the U-19 tournament and held in Tbilisi, Georgia from 8 to 20 August 2017. All matches were played in two halls at the Olympic Palace.

The women's water polo tournament at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships, organised by the FINA, was held in Budapest, Hungary from 16 to 28 July 2017.

2018 Pan American Mens Handball Championship

The 2018 Pan American Men's Handball Championship was the 18th official competition for senior men's national handball teams of North, Central and South America and the Caribbean. It was held from 16 to 24 June 2018 in Nuuk, Greenland. It also acted as the qualifying competition for the 2019 World Men's Handball Championship in Denmark and Germany, securing three vacancies for the World Championship.

2018 Womens Youth World Handball Championship

The 2018 Women's Youth World Handball Championship was the seventh edition of the tournament and took place in Kielce, Poland from 7 to 19 August 2018.

2018 Womens Beach Handball World Championships

The 2018 Women's Beach Handball World Championships were the eighth edition of the tournament, held at Kazan, Russia from 24 to 29 July 2018.

The handball women's tournament at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru was held between 24 and 30 July 2019. Eight nations participated. Brazil won its sixth straight title, directly qualifying to the 2020 Summer Olympics.
