It was third time in history that championship was organised in Kazakhstan by the Kazakhstan Handball Federation. The 2020 IHF Super Globe would have been the 14th edition of the IHF Super Globe, a yearly club world championship in handball organised by the International Handball Federation (IHF). The tournament was scheduled to be held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

‌The 2021 IHF Super Globe will be 15th edition of the yearly club world championship in handball scheduled to be held from 4 to 10 October 2021 at Dammam, Saudi Arabia under the aegis of International Handball Federation (IHF). It will be the second time in history that the event will be organised by the Saudi Arabian Handball Federation.
