The Texas–Texas A&M football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Texas Longhorns and the Texas A&M Aggies. The rivalry was played every year between 1915 and 2011, until A&M left the Big 12 Conference to join the Southeastern Conference during the 2010–12 Southeastern Conference realignment as a part of the wider 2010–2014 NCAA conference realignment. Texas currently leads the series 76–37–5. Texas and Texas A&M will resume this game starting on November 30, 2024as a part of the Southeastern Conference's rivalry week at the end of the regular season.

They were members of the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference. They were led by fourth year head coach Kevin Sumlin. The Aggies finished the regular season 8–5 overall and 4–4 in SEC play. They were invited to the Music City Bowl, where they were defeated by the Louisville Cardinals, 27–21.

They advanced to the semifinals of the SEC Women's Tournament where they were upset by Arkansas. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA Women's Tournament where they defeated Wright State and Marquette in the first and second rounds, before losing to Notre Dame in the Sweet Sixteen for the 2nd straight year.

The Aggies played their home games at Reed Arena in College Station, Texas in their seventh season as members of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 14–18, 6–12 in SEC play to finish in 11th place. They defeated Vanderbilt in the first round of the SEC tournament before losing to Mississippi State.
