The Algerian Volleyball Championship, now called the ABC National 1, formally known as the ABC Super Division, is the pre-eminent men's volleyball league in Algeria, National 1 is contested by 16 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the Second Division and replaced by the two winner of the playoffs. From the 1963 onwards, GS Pétroliers (19 titles) and WA Boufarik (9 titles) both dominated Also there is Darak El-Watani won 11 titles but it no longer exists, though National 1 also saw other champions, including OC Alger, ASM Oran, USM Alger, RAM Alger, MC Oran, NB Staouéli, AS PTT Alger and CSM Constantine.[ citation needed ]

The Algerian Super Cup is an Algerian football competition, held as a game between the reigning champions of the Algerian League and the Algerian Cup. The first edition was held in 1981 and then again in 1992, 1994 and 1995 before being scrapped. The game returned in 2006 but would be scrapped again after the 2007 edition, returning once again in 2013.

The Algerian Handball Championship or the National 1 is the premier professional handball league in Algeria. It started in 1962 and 14 teams participate in the league.

The 1976–77 Algerian Championnat National was the 15th season of the Algerian Championnat National since its establishment in 1962. A total of 16 teams contested the league, with MC Alger as the defending champions, The Championnat started on September 10, 1976. and ended on July 1, 1977.

In the 2004–05 season, USM Alger competed in the Division 1 for the 25th time, as well as the Algerian Cup. It was their 10th consecutive season in the top flight of Algerian football. They were competing in Ligue 1, the CAF Champions League and the Algerian Cup.

In the 2014–15 season, MC Alger competed in the Ligue 1 for the 44th season, as well as the Algerian Cup. It is their 12th consecutive season in the top flight of Algerian football.

The history of Union Sportive Médina d'Alger between 1937 and 2010, commonly referred to as USM Alger or simply USMA, is an Algerian professional association football club based in Algiers, whose first team play in the highest tier of Algerian football, the Ligue 1. Established on 5 July 1937. The 2020–21 Algerian League Cup was the 4th season of the Algerian League Cup. The competition was open to all 20 clubs participating in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1, Twenty years after it came back again due to the cancellation of the Algerian Cup. JS Kabylie won their first league cup title and qualified to the 2021–22 CAF Confederation Cup.

The MC Oran–USM Alger rivalry is a football rivalry between Oran-based MC Oran and USM Alger of Algiers. The two teams have a total of 31 titles from the Ligue Professionnelle 1, Algerian Cup, League Cup and Super Cup at the local level, Regionally the Arab Champions League, the Arab Cup Winners' Cup and the Arab Super Cup, both of which do not have continental titles and the best participation was the final of the CAF Champions League once for each club.
