Jonathan Anderson & Edwin Low, known as Anderson & Low are fine art photographers who have been collaborating since 1990. [1]

Anderson & Low are recognised for their studies of athletes and for projects about costume and identity, which have been exhibited worldwide. These include: Road to 2012, [2] Athletes, [3] Circus, [4] Gymnasts/NDGT, Athlete/Warrior, [5] Endure [6] - they are the only artists ever to be given unrestricted access to depict how the Chinese elite gymnasts train for the Olympics; and Manga Dreams [7] [8] - exploring concepts of identity and the influence of Asian comic books on youth culture.

Anderson & Low's work includes portraiture, architectural studies, abstract images, reportage, nudes, and landscape and is noted for attention to concept, form, lighting and printing.

September 2015, Anderson & Low were awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society.

March 2017, Anderson & Low exhibition 'Voyages', [11] was premiered at the Science Museum, London. To create this project, Anderson & Low created painting-like images of the museum's historic collection of model ships, making the models resemble real ships at sea.

June 2017, Anderson & Low presented a TEDx talk titled 'Sharpening Your Senses'. [12]

Lucian Freud British painter and engraver

Lucian Michael Freud, OM CH was a British painter and draughtsman, specialising in figurative art, and is known as one of the foremost 20th-century portraitists. He was born in Berlin, the son of Jewish architect Ernst L. Freud and the grandson of Sigmund Freud. The National Portrait Gallery (NPG) is an art gallery in London housing a collection of portraits of historically important and famous British people. It was the first portrait gallery in the world when it opened in 1856. The gallery moved in 1896 to its current site at St Martin's Place, off Trafalgar Square, and adjoining the National Gallery. It has been expanded twice since then. The National Portrait Gallery also has regional outposts at Beningbrough Hall in Yorkshire and Montacute House in Somerset. It is unconnected to the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh, with which its remit overlaps. The gallery is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.

Sophie Gengembre Anderson was a French-born British artist who specialised in genre painting of children and women, typically in rural settings. She began her career as a lithographer and painter of portraits, collaborating with Walter Anderson on portraits of American Episcopal bishops. Her work, Elaine, was the first public collection purchase of a woman artist. Her painting No Walk Today was purchased for more than £1 million.

Leonora Carrington Mexican artist, surrealist painter and novelist

Leonora Carrington OBE was a British-born Mexican artist, surrealist painter, and novelist. She lived most of her adult life in Mexico City and was one of the last surviving participants in the Surrealist movement of the 1930s. Carrington was also a founding member of the Women's Liberation Movement in Mexico during the 1970s.

Malick Sidibé was a Malian photographer noted for his black-and-white studies of popular culture in the 1960s in Bamako. Sidibé had a long and fruitful career as a photographer in Bamako, Mali, and was a well-known figure in his community. In 1994 he had his first exhibition outside of Mali and received much critical praise for his carefully composed portraits. Sidibé's work has since become well known and renowned on a global scale. His work was the subject of a number of publications and exhibited throughout Europe and the United States. In 2007, he received a Golden Lion Award for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Biennale, becoming both the first photographer and the first African so recognized. Other awards he has received include a Hasselblad Award for photography, an International Center of Photography Infinity Award for Lifetime Achievement, and a World Press Photo award.

Nick Waplington is a British artist and photographer.

Kathleen Petyarre was an Australian Aboriginal artist. Her art refers directly to her country and her Dreamings. Petyarre's paintings have occasionally been compared to the works of American Abstract Expressionists Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko, and even to those of J.M.W. Turner. She has won several awards and is considered one of the "most collectable artists in Australia". Her works are in great demand at auctions. Petyarre died on 24 November 2018, in Alice Springs, Australia.

Sean Michael Wilson Scottish comic book writer

Sean Michael Wilson is a comic book writer from Edinburgh, Scotland. He has written more than 30 books with a variety of US, UK and Japanese publishers and has been nominated for both the Eisner and Harvey book awards, and won a medal in the Japanese government's 'International Manga Award', 2016.

Martyn Jones is a British contemporary painter who works from his studio in Cardiff, Wales.

Trent Parke is an Australian photographer. He is the husband of Narelle Autio, with whom he often collaborates. He has created a number of photography books; won numerous national and international awards including four World Press Photo awards; and his photographs are held in numerous public and private collections. He is a member of Magnum Photos.

Susan Collett RCA IAC is a Canadian artist in full-time practice with printmaking and ceramics. In 1986, she graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art, earning a B.F.A. in printmaking with a minor in ceramics.
