History
The band started with a friendship forged between Sarah and Chris when they were touring in 2001 with Therion and Evergrey. They went on to produce a four-track film soundtrack-like CD in 2002 which was an unofficial demo only for record companies. The band won a competition at gothmetal.net in May 2005, for which their prize was inclusion on a compilation CD. In late 2005, after 99% of the album was written, Tommy Rehn joined the band. They were finally signed by French label Listenable Records.
The album God Has a Plan for Us All features two tracks from the demo. The bassist is Dave Pybus (formerly of Cradle of Filth and Anathema) and male vocals on "Original Sin" were recorded by Aaron Stainthorpe of My Dying Bride. Sarah Jezebel Deva has publicly announced that she plans on reuniting with Chris for a new album sometime in the future.
In 2020, Sarah Jezebel Deva's official FB music page stated that Angtoria will now continue writing music under a different name. Sarah and Chris have parted ways with Tommy Rehn and because he came up with the band name, they can no longer use it. For that matter, their website has also been suspended.
Cradle of Filth are an English extreme metal band formed in Suffolk in 1991. The band's musical style evolved originally from black metal to a cleaner and more "produced" amalgam of gothic metal, symphonic metal and other metal genres. Their lyrical themes and imagery are heavily influenced by Gothic literature, poetry, mythology and horror films. The band consists of its founding member, vocalist Dani Filth, drummer Martin 'Marthus' Škaroupka, bassist Daniel Firth, guitarists Richard Shaw and Marek 'Ashok' Šmerda, and keyboardist Anabelle Iratni.
Ancient is a Norwegian black metal band from Bergen, formed in 1992. The band released six full-length albums released by Metal Blade Records to date and a variety of mini-albums, EPs and special releases. Ancient used to have the classic raw black metal sound, similar to Darkthrone's works. Beginning with The Cainian Chronicle, they moved towards a more Nordic/atmospheric black metal sound, akin to Emperor and a cleaner production. After a period of turmoil concerning their line-up, they went on to add gothic-style instruments such as violins, a female vocalist, and synthesizers to their music.
Damnation and a Day is the fifth studio album by English extreme metal band Cradle of Filth. It was released on 10 March 2003 and is Cradle of Filth's only album on a major label, Sony Records, after which they transferred to Roadrunner. It features the one hundred and one-piece Budapest Film Orchestra including the forty-piece Budapest Film Choir. The album is partly based on John Milton's epic poem Paradise Lost.
Dusk... and Her Embrace is the second studio album by English extreme metal band Cradle of Filth. It was released on August 28, 1996. and is their first release on the label Music for Nations.
Immolation is an American death metal band from Yonkers, New York. They are considered one of the leaders of the New York death metal scene along with Incantation, Mortician and Suffocation, as well as one of the best bands of the death metal genre.
Sarah Jane, better known by her stage name Sarah Jezebel Deva, is an English singer. She was the female soprano vocalist for Cradle of Filth for 14 years and the frontwoman of the band Angtoria for 10 years. In 2009, Deva started her self-titled solo project, releasing two studio albums and one EP from 2010 to 2012, and in 2020 announced she would be working with former Angtoria bandmate Chris Rehn on a new project entitled Torn Between Two Worlds.
Aaron Stainthorpe is an English singer who is the lead vocalist for doom metal band My Dying Bride.
Manmade God were an American hard rock band from Oakland, California. They gained prominence in 2003, touring with various mainstream acts and releasing one self-titled album in late summer. They disbanded the following year, however, with the departure of their vocalist and an apparent split with their record label, which was American Recordings.
The Threats are a punk band from Dalkeith and Edinburgh, Scotland. Originally formed in 1979 as the Reflectors, the band soon renamed themselves Threats.
The Smell of Rain is an album released by solo artist Mortiis in 2001. Released in 2001 under the Earache label. This was the first album where Mortiis took the role as lead vocalist, which had previously been filled by Sarah Jezebel Deva. Mortiis looks back on this album, and is amazed at how 'gothic' it sounds - even though it wasn't intended.
Crowning of Atlantis is the eighth album released by the symphonic metal band Therion. In the beginning it was an EP fleshed out with several covers and live tracks from Vovin Tour '98 that the record label and management insisted be placed on it to make it a full-length album.
Dave Pybus is a British extreme metal musician, best known as the former bass player of Cradle of Filth.
Thornography is the seventh studio album by English extreme metal band Cradle of Filth. It was released on 17 October 2006, by record label Roadrunner. It was produced by former Anthrax guitarist Rob Caggiano, engineered by Dan Turner and mixed by Andy Sneap, and once again features narration by Doug Bradley. It is Cradle of Filth's second album as a five-piece, as keyboardist Martin Powell left the band in 2005. This would also be the band's final album to feature drummer Adrian Erlandsson, and the only full-length to feature guitarist Charles Hedger.
V Empire or Dark Faerytales in Phallustein is an EP by English extreme metal band Cradle of Filth, and the first release following their 1994 debut studio album The Principle of Evil Made Flesh. It was released on 22 April 1996, and was the band's final release for Cacophonous Records.
God Has a Plan for Us All is the first full-length album by Angtoria, released on 8 May 2006. It was received well by the international media and the special edition of the album sold-out soon after its release date . The band recorded a video for the title track. Lyrical themes deal mostly with child abuse, self-harm and abuse in general. The lyrics for the album are very personal. According to Sarah Jezebel Deva, "the title refers to that despite what happens, religious people always back themselves up with: 'God has a plan for us all' and 'It is as He wills it.' "

Moahni Moahna is a Swedish band that was created in the early 1990s by guitarist Henrik Flyman and guitarist Tommy Rehn. They wrote and performed their own brand of hard rock/heavy metal that was described as "Fantasy Metal". The band started as a two piece formation with hired session musicians, but they soon added vocalist Martin Häggström as a steady member.
Midnight in the Labyrinth is an orchestral compilation album by English extreme metal band Cradle of Filth. The re-recorded songs selected are from the band's first four releases. The title comes from the lyrics of "Mistress from the Sucking Pit", a bonus track on some editions of Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa.
Kevin Johio Lucas Rehn Eires, known professionally as Yohio, stylized as YOHIO is a Swedish singer and songwriter currently active in Japan. He is best known for his performances as Yohio, wearing a lolita dress in previous years, with an androgynous appearance on stage. He is a former member of the Swedish rock band Seremedy, which disbanded in April 2013. Yohio has participated in Melodifestivalen both in 2013 and 2014, making it to the final on both occasions. He is one of the co-founders and current CEO of Keios Entertainment.
