Aspley Guise & Woburn Sands Golf Club is a golf club in Bedfordshire, England, situated between the village of Aspley Guise and the town of Woburn Sands (Buckinghamshire). [1] It was originally established in 1914 as a 9-hole golf course, with a further 9 holes opened in 1974. The course is ranked as the fifth best golf course in the county by the website Top 100 Golf Courses. [2]

The course is based upon designs by Sandy Heard and is a mixture of mature parkland and heath.

Woburn Sands Human settlement in England

Woburn Sands is a town that straddles the border between Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire in England, and also is part of the Milton Keynes urban area. The larger part of the town is in Woburn Sands civil parish, which is in the Borough of Milton Keynes, Smaller parts of the town are in the neighbouring parishes of Aspley Guise and Aspley Heath. The meandering boundary between Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire means the Lower and Middle Schools that serve all of the town are both in Aspley Guise CP. Old Course at St Andrews Oldest golf course

The Old Course at St Andrews, also known as the Old Lady or the Grand Old Lady, is considered the oldest golf course. It is a public course over common land in St Andrews, Fife, Scotland and is held in trust by the St Andrews Links Trust under an act of Parliament. Aspley Guise is a village and civil parish in the west of Central Bedfordshire, England. In addition to the village of Aspley Guise itself, the civil parish also includes part of the town of Woburn Sands, the rest of which is in the Borough of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire. Together with Woburn Sands and Aspley Heath, it forms part of the Milton Keynes urban area. It is centred 6 miles (9.7 km) east southeast of Central Milton Keynes and 1 mile (1.6 km) south of the M1 junction 13. It has its own railway station on the Marston Vale Line, and an historic centre with 29 listed buildings.

It was until some time after 1912 part of Aspley Guise. The Office for National Statistics records the village as part of the Woburn Sands urban subdivision of the Milton Keynes urban area.
