The Kiewa Valley Highway is a minor highway of 80 kilometres (50 mi) which traverses the Kiewa Valley near the alpine regions of Victoria, Australia. In the 1950s the road was sealed and realigned to Mount Beauty to permit the transport of materials for the construction of the Kiewa Hydroelectric Scheme. From Mount Beauty the road continues as the Bogong High Plains Road, a winding and twisty route via the alpine resort of Falls Creek, which terminates at its junction with the Omeo Highway at Shannonvale south of Glen Valley.

The Army Logistic Training Centre (ALTC) is an Australian Army training establishment that is part of Forces Command. Established on 1 December 1995, through the amalgamation of nine separate logistic, health and personnel services schools and the Army College of TAFE, ALTC is headquartered at Bandiana, Victoria, and was established in response to the need to provide more effective logistic training, which had been identified as a problem as early as 1981. ALTC's motto is "Excel with Honour".

The Army Museum Bandiana is dedicated to collecting, housing, displaying military equipment, weapons and vehicles associated with the Australian Army. It is the largest and most diversified military museum in Australia The museum is based within Australian Army base property, at the Gaza Ridge Barracks, near Wodonga South Bandiana, in the Australian state of Victoria. The museum houses over 150 military vehicles, as well as artillery, infantry weapons, uniforms, and militaria - including material brought back from war, as well as items retrieved from battlefields.
