Bosnia and Herzegovina maintains an embassy in Riyadh and Saudi Arabia maintains an embassy in Sarajevo. [1] [2] Saudi Arabia has provided enormous financial assistance, cultural and humanitarian support to Bosnia since its independence in 1992. [3] The King Fahd Mosque, the largest mosque in Sarajevo, was funded by the Saudi government and is named after its former king, Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. [4]

The school was closed at the end of the 2016/2017 school year, after long-running criticism that it was attracting Islamists to Germany. The school's last director was Ibrahim Al-Megren.
