Brian Bailey is a Toronto, Ontario, Canada based fashion designer. [1] He designs for women and has bridal and evening collections in addition to day-wear and ready-to-wear, [2] sportswear, and plus sizes. [3]

Career

Bailey started out in the fashion business in Toronto. [4] In 1988 he took part in Toronto Fashion Week. [5]

In April, 2007, Bailey went on the Canadian Shopping Channel and sold $80,000 of designer clothing in one day. [6] Also 2007, Brian Bailey acted as the 'mentor' to young fashion designers in the reality television competition Project Runway Canada. He remained on the show for its second season. [7] [8]

By 2009, Bailey's fashions were sold at Saks and Harrods. [9] His designs are currently available online at TSC.

The show has had over 30 international adaptations.

Heatherette was an American fashion company that closed in 2008. It was founded in 1999 by Club Kid Richie Rich and Traver Rains. The pair first began designing T-shirts and leather goods. When Rich wore one of their leather tops to a party, he caught the attention of a buyer at the downtown store Patricia Field.

Project Runway Canada Season 1 is the first season of Project Runway Canada, a reality competition show for fashion designers that is part of the Project Runway franchise. It aired in late 2007 on the Slice channel, which had relaunched earlier that year. The season received critical acclaim, and won the 2008 Gemini Award for Best Reality Program or Series. Project Runway Canada gave Slice one of its most successful series since the launch of its new branding.

The second season of Project Runway Canada, Global's reality competition show for fashion designers, was the first season to air on the Global network, since the show stopped airing on Slice. The season premiered on January 27, 2009.

The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collection is an American reality television series which premiered on May 7, 2009, on the Bravo cable network. The show focuses on fashion design and features hosts fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi and supermodel Iman. The contestants compete against each other to create the best clothes. They are restricted in time, materials, and theme; the resulting designs are judged and one or more designers is eliminated each week. The show was originally co-hosted by singer Kelly Rowland; she was replaced by Iman in Season 2.

The first season of Project Runway Philippines premiered on July 30, 2008 on cable through ETC Entertainment Central and on free TV through SBN 21.
