Camino Del Rey Association

The Camino Del Rey Association is a high school athletic league that is part of the CIF Southern Section. [1] It is an amalgamation of the Camino Real League, the Del Rey League and the Santa Fe League. Members are generally the Catholic schools located in Los Angeles County.

CIF Southern Section organization

The California Interscholastic Federation-Southern Section (CIF-SS) is the governing body for high school athletics in most of Southern California and is the largest of the ten sections that comprise the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). Its membership includes most public and private high schools in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Mono and Inyo counties, as well as a small portion of Kern County. Teams from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and surrounding areas have competed in the CIF Los Angeles City Section since 1935. Needles High School, at the far eastern edge of San Bernardino County, and Coleville High School, in the far north of Mono County, are members of the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association. CIFSS's offices are located in Los Alamitos.

The Camino Real League is a high school athletic league that is part of the CIF Southern Section.

The Del Rey League is a high school athletic conference that is part of the CIF Southern Section. Members are mostly private, parochial schools in the South Bay affiliated the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Bishop Amat Memorial High School is a co-ed Catholic high school serving the San Gabriel Valley in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, and was founded in 1957. The campus is located in La Puente, California, approximately 20 miles (32 km) east of downtown Los Angeles in Los Angeles County. The coeducational student body comprises approximately 1,520 students in grades 9 through 12, making Bishop Amat the largest private high school in Los Angeles County. It is the only Catholic high school in Los Angeles County that offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB).

Bishop Montgomery High School is a Catholic high school serving twenty-five parishes in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. BMHS was founded in 1957, and staffed by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Conventual Franciscans, and lay faculty. The 24-acre (97,000 m2) campus is located in Torrance, California, in southwest Los Angeles County, one mile (1.6 km) from the Pacific Ocean and the Del Amo Mall. The coeducational student body is approximately 1,200 students in grades 9 through 12, making BMHS the sixth largest private high school in Los Angeles County. The faculty is headed by Principal Dr. James Garza.

DeSales High School was a Catholic school established in 1912 in the Diocese of Rochester. It was located in the northern sector of Geneva, New York. DeSales High's mission was "to provide an academically excellent education in an intimate, faith-filled community". It was the only Catholic high school in the Finger Lakes region. DeSales closed on July 31, 2012 by the Diocese of Rochester due to financial struggles and decreasing enrollment. The final Senior class graduated in the centennial of the school. A member of the Class of 2012 maintains a DeSales High School Facebook page, posting old yearbook photos daily.

The Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (I.H.M.) is a Catholic religious institute of sisters. It is divided among three separate congregations. The original community of the institute is headquartered in Monroe, Michigan. The Motherhouse currently houses more than 200 sisters, more than 100 of whom require supportive care. The sisters originally began as teachers, but their ministries have become more diverse, including: Education in grade schools, high schools, colleges and universities, pastoral care in hospitals, long-term care facilities and other health care settings, parish ministry and outreach into poor communities and individuals in need, social services for poor and homeless families, working with those with AIDS, providing spiritual direction and retreats, advocacy efforts to help people get the resources needed to fully participate in society, programs and services for older adults in a variety of settings, and work to improve the environment.

Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school and work study program in Takoma Park, Maryland, serving low-income students in the D. C. area. It is cosponsored by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington and the Salesians of Don Bosco. The school is named for St. John Bosco, founder of the Salesian order, and is part of a national Cristo Rey network of 28 schools. It offers a challenging college-preparatory academic program and fully integrated work study program, in which students from low-income families gain professional work experience at nearly 100 leading Washington-area businesses and earn money to pay for a significant portion of their tuition. CIF Sac-Joaquin Section organization

The Sac-Joaquin Section (SJS) is the governing body of public and private high school athletics in parts of Northern San Joaquin Valley, California. Its geographic area also covers the California portion of the Lake Tahoe region; however, three schools in that area—North Tahoe, Truckee, and South Tahoe High Schools—are instead members of the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association due to their relative isolation from other California schools and their proximity to more populated areas in Nevada, especially in the Reno area. It is one of ten sections that compose the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). The SJS is split into seven divisions, each comprising several leagues.

The Santa Fe League is a football-only high school athletic league that is part of the CIF Southern Section.

Daniel E. Garcia Catholic bishop

Daniel Elias Garcia is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He was consecrated an auxiliary bishop for the Diocese of Austin on March 3, 2015. On January 29, 2019, Garcia was installed as the fifth bishop of the Diocese of Monterey.
