The Cape May Times was created in 2001 by Jane Kashlak, a former WNBC investigative producer and five-time New York Emmy Award winner. [1] [2] [3] [4] The online publication originated as a guide to local events and movie times. Since then it has grown to include information about many aspects of life in Cape May, New Jersey. The Cape May Times features stories about nature, as The Washington Post mentioned in an article on winter breaks. [5] While the site has much information for tourists, it also provides a local person's view of life in Cape May. [6] Kashlak, the Times' editor, was named one of South Jersey’s People To Watch in 2009. [7]

WNBC television station from New York City

WNBC, virtual channel 4, is the flagship station of the NBC television network, licensed to New York City and serving the New York metropolitan area. Cape May, New Jersey City in New Jersey

The 39th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), ″recognizes outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television production and are presented to individuals and programs broadcast from 2:00 a.m.—6:00 p.m. during the 2011 calendar year″. The ceremony took place on June 23, 2012 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, in Beverly Hills, California beginning at 5:00 p.m. PST / 8:00 p.m. EST. The ceremony was televised in the United States by HLN and produced by LocoDistro and Executive Producer Gabriel Gornell.
