Choctaw Casino Bingo in Durant, Oklahoma was the first Choctaw casino to be constructed, in 1987, and was also the original casino before the construction of new Choctaw Casino Resort in 2005. Since the construction of the original casino, it has since then sparked growth for the Choctaw gaming industry.

In 1988, the voters of the state of Oklahoma passed a law that allowed 3 different classes of gambling in the state of Oklahoma. Choctaw Casino Bingo was one of the first facilities to take advantage of the new law. Changes in the law led to the introduction of Las Vegas style slot machines and video games as well as table games including Blackjack and Poker.

Choctaw Casino Bingo is owned and operated by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Profits contribute to many development programs used to benefit local communities and the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.

Tourists

The Choctaw Casino Bingo and the Choctaw Casino Resort form a huge gaming complex that is a popular tourist destination for Durant, the State of Oklahoma, the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, North Texas, western Arkansas, and northwestern Louisiana.

Entertainment

Choctaw Casino Bingo provided on-site entertainment, lodging amenities at the Choctaw Casino Resort Hotel, as well as, the plethora of gaming options within the casino. Gaming opportunities include over 700 gaming machines, live dealer assisted blackjack, and a bingo pavilion large enough to accommodate over 600 bingo patrons.

Closing

Upon the opening of the new Choctaw Casino Resort, the Choctaw Casino Bingo closed in January 2010.

South Central Oklahoma is an amorphous region in the state of Oklahoma, perhaps encompassing 10 counties. It is centered on the Arbuckle Mountains, an ancient, eroded range traversing some 70 miles (110 km) across the region, and surrounded by rivers and lakes, notably Lake Texoma, Lake Murray and Lake of the Arbuckles. Odawa Casino Resort is a Northern Michigan casino resort. Located in Resort Township near Petoskey, Michigan, the casino opened for business on June 20, 2007. It is owned and operated by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. The resort replaced Victories Casino in 2007, which had served as the tribe's casino until the new resort was opened. In addition to gaming, Odawa Casino Resort features multiple restaurants and retail outlets, a concert venue, a nightclub, and a circular lounge bar in the middle of the gaming floor (Rendezvous). The resort also includes a AAA Diamond rated Hotel. Full shuttle transportation is available to all resort guests. Odawa Casino Resort is open to guests of all ages, however, the casino's gaming floor and the O Zone Nightclub are restricted to those of age 21 and older. Starting in 2011, the minimum gaming age at Odawa Casino Resort has been approved to be lowered to 19 years old. The resort has been a land-based partner of PokerStars Online Casino in the state of Michigan since its launch in January 2021.

The casino opened as the WinStar Casinos in 2004, and was expanded and renamed WinStar World Casino in 2009; its 370,000 square feet (34,000 m2) of casino floor made it the world's largest casino. In August 2013, WinStar Resorts completed a major expansion project, which added a new 1000-room second hotel tower that was divided into two phases; this also added a new casino that is attached to the tower.
