Coast & County Radio (also referred to as Coast and County Radio) is an FMcommunity radio station, primarily serving the Yorkshire Coast in England. It was launched on 9 November 2016 on the MuxCo North Yorkshire DAB multiplex. DAB transmissions ceased on 1 January 2019, when the station became online only. It has studios in Scarborough and Malton.
In September 2020 it was announced that the station would start broadcasting to Scarborough on 97.4 FM, from the Oliver's Mount transmitter. The FM test broadcasts began in October 2020, with the programme service beginning on 2 November 2020.
In August 2021 plans were announced to extend coverage. With additional FM transmitters proposed for Whitby and Ravenscar. The Whitby transmitter, located at the Whitby Town F.C. ground came into service early November 2021. The switch on date for the Ravenscar transmitter has yet to be published.
The Borough of Scarborough was a non-metropolitan district with borough status in North Yorkshire, England. In addition to the town of Scarborough, it covered a large stretch of the coast of Yorkshire, including Whitby and Filey. It bordered Redcar and Cleveland to the north, the Ryedale and Hambleton districts to the west and the East Riding of Yorkshire to the south.
Filey is a seaside town and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England. It is located between Scarborough and Bridlington on Filey Bay. Although it was a fishing village, it has a large beach and became a popular tourist resort. According to the 2011 UK census, Filey parish had a population of 6,981, in comparison to the 2001 UK census population figure of 6,819, and a population of 6,870 in 1991.

It is not possible therefore to listen to a station branded "Greatest Hits Radio Yorkshire".

Bent Rigg Radar Station,, was a radar site located at Bent Rigg, 0.6 miles (1 km) south of Ravenscar, North Yorkshire, England. Several radar stations had been located in the Ravenscar area from 1938, but a more permanent site was built at Bent Rigg in 1941, which was crewed by technicians and other staff from the Royal Air Force. Bent Rigg, and the wider location around Ravenscar, was deemed "attractive" for the siting of long-range finding equipment. It was originally part of the Coastal Defence/Chain Home Low (CD/CHL) system, designed to detect shipping. Later, it was upgraded with more powerful equipment as part of the Chain Home Extra Low (CHEL). The last recorded use of the station was in September 1944, and it is believed that the site closed soon afterwards.
