Cochise Technology District

Cochise Technology District is a school district in Cochise County, Arizona. It is the county's only joint technological education district, serving eight high school districts. CTD was founded in 2001 with seven of the eight high schools on board; Douglas joined in 2004.

Lavender Pit

The Lavender Pit is a former open pit copper mine near Bisbee in Cochise County, Arizona, United States. It is located near the famous Copper Queen Mine. The Lavender Pit was named in honor of Harrison M. Lavender (1890–1952), who as Vice-President and General Manager of Phelps Dodge Corporation, conceived and carried out this plan for making the previously unprofitable low-grade copper bearing rock of the area into commercial copper ore.

Cochise College

Cochise College is a public college in Arizona. Founded in 1964, the school has campuses in Douglas and Sierra Vista, and centers in Benson, Fort Huachuca, and Willcox. Cochise College offers associate degrees in Art, Applied Science, Business, Elementary Education, General Studies, and Science, and over 30 different certificate programs. The College also offers transfer programs for students to transfer to partner Universities.

Arizona's 2nd congressional district is a congressional district located in the U.S. state of Arizona. It is located in the southeastern corner of the state, and includes roughly two-thirds of Tucson. It is the only one of the state's nine congressional districts that does not include any part of Maricopa County.

Brush Point was a community that existed in DeKalb County, Illinois, United States, which is now extinct. In June 1839 it was under consideration as one of three towns, for county seat. It gained the support of Brush Point doctor Henry Madden. Ultimately, Brush Point lost out to Sycamore and disappeared from existence. Brush Point is located in Mayfield Township, northwest of Sycamore and north of DeKalb. The old Brush Point School was located at 42°01′41″N88°45′13″W.

Peloncillo National Forest was established as the Peloncillo Forest Reserve in Arizona and New Mexico on November 15, 1906 with 178,977 acres (724.29 km2). It became a National Forest on March 4, 1907. On July 1, 1908 it was combined with the Chiricahua National Forest and the name was discontinued. Its lands presently exist as part of the Coronado National Forest.

Guadalupe Mountains (Hidalgo County) Mountain range in southwest New Mexico

The Guadalupe Mountains of Hidalgo County are a 13 mi (21 km) long, sub–range in southwest Hidalgo County, New Mexico, adjacent the southeast border of Arizona's Cochise County. A small portion of the range is in Cochise County, namely the outlet of Guadalupe Canyon, famous for the Guadalupe Canyon Massacre. The very southern end of the range is also in the border region of Sonora, just north of Federal Highway 2.

Bisbee High School is a high school in Bisbee, Arizona. It is part of the Bisbee Unified School District, which also operates an elementary school and a junior high school. The high school runs on a four-day school week.

Whitewater Draw

Whitewater Draw, originally Rio de Agua Prieta, [Spanish: river of dark water], is a tributary stream of the Rio de Agua Prieta in Cochise County, Arizona. It was called Blackwater Creek by Philip St. George Cooke when his command, the Mormon Battalion, camped at a spring on its course on December 5, 1846.

Black Draw is a valley, and tributary stream within the San Bernardino Valley of Cochise County, Arizona. Its waters are a tributary of the San Bernardino River and its mouth lies at an elevation of 3,753 feet / 1,144 meters. Its source is at an elevation of 4,740 feet, at 31°34′17″N109°10′12″W on the northwest slope of Paramore Crater in the upper San Bernardino Valley.
