United Kingdom Country in Europe

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, commonly known as the United Kingdom (UK) or Britain, is a sovereign country located off the north-western coast of the European mainland. The United Kingdom includes the island of Great Britain, the north-eastern part of the island of Ireland, and many smaller islands. Northern Ireland is the only part of the United Kingdom that shares a land border with another sovereign state, the Republic of Ireland. Apart from this land border, the United Kingdom is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, with the North Sea to the east, the English Channel to the south and the Celtic Sea to the south-west, giving it the 12th-longest coastline in the world. The Irish Sea separates Great Britain and Ireland. The United Kingdom's 242,500 square kilometres (93,600 sq mi) were home to an estimated 66.0 million inhabitants in 2017.

Costello Music 2006 studio album by The Fratellis

Costello Music is the debut album by Scottish indie rock band The Fratellis. It was released on 11 September 2006 on Fallout Records and Drop the Gun Recordings and on 13 March 2007 on Cherrytree Records in the U.S. and was a success, peaking at #2 in the UK Albums Chart and spent 83 weeks in the Top 100. It debuted behind FutureSex/LoveSounds by Justin Timberlake and stayed in the #2 position for two more weeks, this time behind Ta-Dah by Scissor Sisters. The album had five single releases, as well as the download-only EP Flathead. "Chelsea Dagger" was the most successful single, peaking at #5 in the UK and #4 in the Netherlands, but the other singles failed to chart in most countries.

The album was originally meant to be released on 23 November, but was pushed back as the band were a little unhappy with aspects of the album and wanted to change them. [7] However, on the Vic Galloway show, Lawler stated that it was silly to release the album before the tour, meaning changes might not have been made. The album was accidentally released for Digital Download on 16 November from Amazon, HMV and Play.com, but was later removed.

Composition

In the track by track, Lawler reveals information about each tack. "I Would Send You Roses" was originally written for a collaboration between The Fratellis and Roger Daltrey, but the collaboration never went ahead and so it was used for this. "Begging Bowl Blues" features no vocals from Lou Hickey as the song didn't suit her voice. Lawler was also keen to point out the variety of instruments used and how each song has a unique sound.

Roger Daltrey English lead vocalist of The Who

Roger Harry Daltrey is an English singer and actor. He is a founder, member, and lead singer of the rock band the Who. Daltrey is known for his powerful voice and energetic stage presence.

Additionally, this represents the first time much of this material has been presented in a CD version sourced directly from the original tapes, which had been considered lost for decades, and nine tracks from this collection had previously been completely unreleased in any configuration.
