DB Station&Service was a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn, responsible for managing over 5,400 train stations on the German railway network. [2] On 1 January 2024, it merged with DB Netz to form DB InfraGO. [3] [4]

With an average of 550,000 passengers a day, it is Germany's busiest railway station and the second-busiest in Europe after the Gare du Nord in Paris. It is classed by Deutsche Bahn as a category 1 railway station.

DB Netz was a major subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn that owned and operated a majority of the German railway system. It was one of the largest railway infrastructure managers by length and transport volume of its network.

These DB Class V 100 diesel locomotives were produced in the late 1950s by the Deutsche Bundesbahn for non-electrified branch lines as a replacement for steam locomotives. The V 100 class was built in three different variants.

Südostbayernbahn is one of several regional railway networks in Germany owned by Germany's national railway, Deutsche Bahn AG. Since 2001, the network has included the railway hub of Mühldorf which connects 7 major railway lines from Munich, Rosenheim, Freilassing, Burghausen, Simbach am Inn, Passau and Landshut, forming a star-shaped network of lines called Linienstern Mühldorf. SüdostBayernBahn is subordinated to DB RegioNetz Verkehr and DB RegioNetz Infrastruktur.

The Elz Valley Railway is a 19.3 km (12.0 mi) long, single-tracked, standard gauge branch line in the Black Forest area of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The line branches off the Freiburg im Breisgau to Offenburg section of the Rhine Valley Railway at Denzlingen and runs up the valley of the River Elz to Waldkirch and Elzach.

Line S 13 was an S-Bahn line of the S-Bahn Köln network. It was operated by DB Regio with class 423 electric multiple units.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Nuremberg–Bamberg railway</span> German railway line

The Nuremberg-Bamberg line is a German railway connecting the Bavarian city of Nuremberg with Bamberg via Fürth, Erlangen, Forchheim. It is part of the northern section of the Ludwig South-North Railway. It runs along the Regnitz Valley and is one of the important German transport routes. Since 2010 line S1 of the Nuremberg S-Bahn uses the entirety of the line from Nuremberg to Bamberg.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Hagen-Vorhalle station</span>

Hagen-Vorhalle station is a large marshalling yard of national importance and a small passenger station for local services in the Hagen district of Vorhalle in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It was opened in its present form in 1910 in and is one of the nine major marshalling yards in Germany and a key element of the 200X program to upgrade Germany's freight infrastructure initiated in 2006 by the former Railion Deutschland AG. The station is located on the Ruhr Valley Railway and the Elberfeld–Dortmund line. The station was opened on the 9 March 1849 as Herdecke station and successively renamed as Herdecke Süd, Herdecke-Vorhalle and Vorhalle. It was renamed as Hagen-Vorhalle in the early 1950s.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Dresden Flughafen station</span>

Dresden Flughafen is an underground railway station at the airport serving the city of Dresden in Saxony, Germany. The station, along with the 1.15 km long extension of the Klotzsche–Grenzstraße railway to Dresden Airport opened on 25 March 2001. The station was the first and, until the opening of the Leipzig City Tunnel, the only underground station in Saxony. It is also the first station in Saxony and the eighth in Germany at an airport.

The Kassel-based Kurhessenbahn (KHB) is the first of six regional networks to be created by Deutsche Bahn AG as part of its middle class offensive. It forms a unit that is formally split into DB RegioNetz Verkehrs GmbH and DB RegioNetz Infrastruktur GmbH in order to comply with the legal requirements after separation of network and operations.

Ruhland station is located in the town of Ruhland in northwestern Upper Lusatia in the south of the German state of Brandenburg on the Großenhain–Cottbus railway and the Węgliniec–Roßlau railway. The station is a heritage-listed building.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Alsfeld station</span>

Alsfeld station is in the town of Alsfeld in the German state of Hesse. It is at line-km 60.3 of the Vogelsberg Railway (Vogelsbergbahn) and line-km 0.0 of the Niederaula–Alsfeld railway, which was closed in 1988. The entrance building, which was built in 1914/15 at Bahnhofstraße 14, is a protected monument.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Munich–Buchloe railway</span>

The Munich–Buchloe railway is a double-track, electrified main line in Bavaria, Germany. The 60 kilometre-long line runs from Munich Pasing via Geltendorf and Kaufering to Buchloe. Together with the Buchloe–Kempten–Lindau line, it is known as the Allgäubahn. The line is owned and maintained by DB Netz.
