USS Bogue (CVE-9) was the lead ship in the Bogue class of escort carriers in the United States Navy during World War II. She was originally classified AVG-9, but was changed to ACV-9, 20 August 1942; CVE-9, 15 July 1943; and CVHP-9, 12 June 1955. Aircraft operating from Bogue, plus her escorts, sank eleven German and two Japanese submarines, making her the most successful anti-submarine carrier in World War II.

Zadié is a department of Ogooué-Ivindo Province in northern-eastern Gabon. The capital lies at Mékambo. As of 2013 the department had a population of 15,816 people. The department has a population of Bakoya pygmies, settled here since about 1933 along the main roads from Mékambo to Mazingo and Mékambo to Ekata on the Congolese border. The area received international press for outbreaks of Ebola hemorrhagic fever in 1994 and 1997.
Priddy Glacier is a glacier, 2 nautical miles (3.7 km) long, on the west side of Esser Hill, flowing northwest to join Hobbs Glacier, on Scott Coast, Victoria Land. Named in 1992 by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) after Allan R. Priddy of Holmes and Narver, Inc., who experienced one winter above 76 in Greenland and one below 76 at McMurdo Station, as well as several summer seasons in Antarctica from 1969–91. He was construction foreman at four geological field camps and for four summer seasons at South Pole Station, and was a key crew member in the building of both Siple I and Siple II Stations.

Mount Danforth is an ice-free, pyramidal mountain over 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) high, standing immediately east of Mount Zanuck on the south side of Albanus Glacier, in the Queen Maud Mountains. It was discovered in December 1934 by the Byrd Antarctic Expedition geological party under Quin Blackburn, and named by Richard E. Byrd for William H. Danforth of the Purina Mills, St. Louis, a contributor to the expedition.
German submarine U-205 was a Type VIIC U-boat of the Kriegsmarine during World War II. The submarine was laid down on 19 June 1940 by the Friedrich Krupp Germaniawerft yard at Kiel as yard number 634; launched on 20 March 1941; and commissioned on 3 May 1941 under the command of Franz-Georg Reschke.
