The Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan (FTUU), also known as the Trade Unions Federation of Uzbekistan (TUFU) is the sole national trade union center in Uzbekistan. It is the remnant of the previous Soviet trade union system, although it has lost some of its previous powers, such as state planning and enterprise management.

The FTUU is affiliated to the General Confederation of Trade Unions.

Eurasian Economic Union Economic union of countries in Eurasia

The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is an economic union of post-Soviet states located in Eastern Europe, Western Asia and Central Asia. The Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union was signed on 29 May 2014 by the leaders of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia, and came into force on 1 January 2015. Treaties aiming for Armenia's and Kyrgyzstan's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union were signed on 9 October and 23 December 2014, respectively. Armenia's accession treaty came into force on 2 January 2015. Kyrgyzstan's accession treaty came into effect on 6 August 2015. Kyrgyzstan participated in the EAEU from the day of its establishment as an acceding state.

An independence referendum was held in the Republic of Uzbekistan on 29 December 1991, alongside presidential elections. The result was 98.3% of voters in favour, with a turnout of 94.1%.

Uzbekistan mens national ice hockey team

The Uzbekistan national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Uzbekistan. They are controlled by the Uzbekistan Ice Hockey Federation and has been an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 26 September 2019. Uzbekistan is currently not ranked in the IIHF World Ranking and is not actively competing in any IIHF World Championship events, nor at any Olympic Games. Uzbekistan played in three Winter Spartakiads from 1978 to 1986.
