The Flight Attendants & Related Services Association (FARSA) was a national trade union in New Zealand. It represented New Zealand-based flight attendants at Air New Zealand International including Flight Service Managers. Also represented are flight attendants and cabin managers from Air New Zealand Domestic Jet, Air Nelson, Jetconnect (Qantas) Long Haul & Short Haul, Virgin Australia and Jetstar. It was based in Auckland.

In November 2016, FARSA merged with E Tū, a private sector union. [1]

Tupolev Tu-144 Supersonic airliner

The Tupolev Tu-144 is a retired jet airliner and commercial supersonic transport aircraft (SST). It was the world's first commercial SST, the second being the Anglo-French Concorde. Belavia Belarusian Airlines, legally Joint Stock Company "Belavia Belarusian Airlines", is the flag carrier and national airline of Belarus, headquartered in Minsk. The state-owned company had, as of 2007, 1,017 employees. The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA is a union representing flight attendants in the United States. As of January 2018, AFA represents 50,000 flight attendants at 20 airlines. Since 2004, AFA has been part of the Communications Workers of America (CWA), an affiliate of AFL-CIO. AFA is also an affiliate of the International Transport Workers' Federation.

Jetconnect Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qantas that is based in Auckland, New Zealand. Originally established in July 2002 commencing operations in October the same year as a New Zealand based Airline. Jetconnect operated domestic services within New Zealand until these services were taken over by Jetstar Airways, another Qantas Group airline, on 10 June 2009. Jetconnect then operated Trans-Tasman services between New Zealand and Australia under the Qantas brand employing New Zealand based Flight Attendants and Pilots. In 2018 Jetconnect transferred its fleet of Boeing 737 Aircraft to the Qantas fleet and although it ceased to operate as an Airline in its own right, Jetconnect now employs Cabin Crew and Pilots to operate Tasman services for Qantas. Jetconnect head office is based at the Auckland Airport with another Cabin Crew and Pilot base in Wellington.

The New Zealand Council of Trade Unions (NZCTU) is a national trade union centre in New Zealand. The NZCTU represents 360,000 workers, and is the largest democratic organisation in New Zealand.

Aeroamerica

Aeroamerica, Inc. was founded as a US supplemental carrier in 1973. It was headquartered at Seattle Boeing Field, Washington. In 1975 the airline established an overseas base at Tegel Airport in what used to be West Berlin prior to German reunification. Berlin Tegel was the main operating base from 1975 until 1979. Aeroamerica ceased operations in 1982.

Aeroflot Flight 7425 1985 Tu-154 crash in the Uzbek SSR

Aeroflot Flight 7425 refers to a Tupolev Tu-154B-2, registration CCCP-85311, that was operating a domestic scheduled Karshi–Ufa–Leningrad passenger service under the airline's Uzbekistan division, that crashed near Uchkuduk, Uzbek SSR, Soviet Union on 10 July 1985. The crash killed all 200 occupants on board. Investigators determined that crew fatigue was a factor in the accident.

Norwegian Long Haul AS is a division of Norwegian Air Shuttle that operates long-haul flights between Europe, Asia, and the United States with an all-Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet. Norwegian Long Haul is registered in Dublin, Ireland, and is managed by parent company Norwegian Air Shuttle from its head office at Fornebu, Norway. Its capacity is used to operate some of the Norwegian Group's long-haul flights, using Norwegian Air Shuttle's associated airline codes.

E tū is a New Zealand trade union created in October 2015 through the merger of the Service & Food Workers Union, the Flight Attendants and Related Services Union, and the Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union. It represents more than 50,000 workers.
