The Forbes list of Australia's 50 richest people is a list of Australia's fifty wealthiest individuals and families, ranked by personal net worth published annually by Forbes Asia magazine. The list provides a short summary on some of the known business activities of the individuals and families, together with commentary on how their ranking has changed from the previous year, if listed. The list is published annually in January in an online format and updated daily, also online.

In 2019, the entry mark for the 50th richest individual was US$750 million. The wealthiest individual in the 2019 list was Gina Rinehart, estimated to have a personal net worth of US$14.8 billion; a US$2.6 billion decrease in her personal net worth of US$17.4 billion, as estimated by Forbes in 2018. 2019 marked the eighth time that Rinehart had headed the list.^[1]

Prior to 2013, the list included the forty richest people in Australia; expanded to Australia's fifty wealthiest individuals and families in 2013.

According to Forbes, Hains had a personal net-worth of an estimated $2.89 billion, making him Australia’s 18th richest person.

Angela Bennett is an Australian mining heiress and businesswoman.

Scott Farquhar is an Australian billionaire business magnate who is the co-founder and co-chief executive officer of software company Atlassian. Farquhar often carries the epithet of accidental billionaire after he and his business partner Mike Cannon-Brookes founded Atlassian with the aim to replicate the A$48,500 graduate starting salary typical at corporations without having to work for someone else.

Blair Parry-Okeden is an American-born Australian billionaire heiress and philanthropist. According to Forbes Asia, she was Australia's richest person by net worth in 2016. Parry-Okeden's wealth derives from Cox Enterprises.

David Siang Hai Teoh is an Australian businessman. Until March 26, 2021, he was the executive chairman of TPG, a company he founded with his Taiwanese wife Vicky in 1992 after emigrating from Malaysia in 1986. He is also the founder and executive chairman of Tuas Limited, who owns Simba Telecom, a telecommunications company in Singapore.
