The Greek Cricket Championship is the most important domestic competition of cricket in Greece. It is organised by Hellenic Cricket Federation. Every year they are organised two competitions. One indoor championship is organised during winter period and one outdoor championship, during summer period. The clubs of Corfu star in the championship as well as the sport has popularity mostly in Corfu.

Olympiacos Sindesmos Filathlon Pireos is a major multi-sport club based in Piraeus, Greece. Evangelos Delakas Greek water polo player

Evangelos Ioannis Delakas is a retired Greek water polo player and the current assistant coach of Greek powerhouse Olympiacos. As a player, Delakas won a bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships and competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. He played for Olympiacos for 14 years (2004–2018) and won 12 Greek Championships, 11 Greek Cups and the 2017–18 LEN Champions League with the club.

Ioannis Fountoulis Greek water polo player

Ioannis Fountoulis is a Greek water polo player. He is currently the captain of Greece men's national water polo team, with whom he won a bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships, a bronze medal at the 2016 World League and competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. He plays for Greek powerhouse Olympiacos since 2009, and in 2018 he won the 2017–18 LEN Champions League with the Greek giants, scoring 4 goals in the final game against Pro Recco in Genoa.

Greek Womens Basketball League

The Greek women’s Basketball League, also known as A1 Ethniki Women's Basketball is the most important competition of Greek women’s professional basketball. It is organised by the EOK. It began with the 1967–68 season. The first championship of the league, which was held in the 1967–68 season, was organised by ΕΟΑΠ. Two years later, the EOK assumed control of the competition.

Filippos Veria

A.C. Filippos Verias is a Greek sport club based in Veria. It has departments in Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Gymnastics, and Athletics. The most successful is the department of Handball that has won many titles. Filippos was founded in 1962 and its colours are white and red. Its emblem is Philip of Macedonia. Filippos is also known as "Vasilias " and it is the second most successful club in Premier Handball/A1 Ethniki history.

Iraklis Water Polo Club is the water polo department of G.S. Iraklis multi sport club. It has got teams both men and women. The most successful is the women's team that plays in A1 Ethniki, while the men's team plays in A2 Ethniki.

Hellenic Futsal Cup

The Hellenic Futsal Cup is the second important competition of futsal in Greece. It started in 2000-2001 season and the first winner was A.C. Doukas. The most successful club so far is Athens 90 which has won 7 cups. The last winner is AEK that defeated Olympiada with 1-0 score in the recent final.

The 2014–15 A1 Ethniki is the 84th season of the Greek premier Water polo league and the 29th of A1 Ethniki. The winner of the league was Olympiacos, which beat Panathinaikos in the league's playoff's finals. It was the first final of the eternal enemies in Water Polo Championship. The clubs Panionios and Nireas Lamias were relegated to the Greek A2 League.

The Greek Field Hockey Championship or Greek Field Hockey League was the most important domestic competition of the Field Hockey in Greece. The championship started after founding of Hellenic Hockey Federation in 1994. There have been eighteen championships until abolishing of Hockey Federation during November 2014. The Greek Federation was abolished for the ground that the number of teams was less of required number. Also there have been serious complaints for conducting fake youth championships in order to participant pupils to have taken bonus grades for universities' entrance examinations.

Cricket in Greece

Cricket is a sport relatively unknown to most Greeks. However, it is believed that this sport or one similar was played in ancient Greece. This conclusion is drawn from an ancient relief that depicts athletes with clubs and ball. In modern era the cricket in Greece is connected with Corfu where this sport is pretty popular. The sport was imported to Corfu by the British when the Ionian Islands were under British rule (1815–64). The first teams in the island were created after the departure of the British, shortly after 1864. In 1893, the still existing club Kerkyraikos Gymnastikos Syllogos was founded. Other cricket clubs were founded in subsequent years. In 1925 the club GSK Vyron was founded, and in 1976 the club AO Faiax was founded. The Hellenic Cricket Federation was founded in 1996. It is the only Greek sport federation that is not based in Athens but based in Corfu.

Theodoros "Thodoris" Vlachos is a retired Greek water polo player and the current coach of Olympiacos Water Polo Club and the Greece men's national water polo team.

Stefanos Galanopoulos Waterpolo player

Stefanos Galanopoulos is a water polo player of Greece. He was part of the Greek team winning the bronze medal at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships.

GS Apollon Smyrnis, full name Gymnasticos Syllogos Apollon Smyrnis, literally Gymnastics Society Apollon of Smyrna is a Greek multi-sport club based in Athens. Apollon originally was founded in Smyrni in 1891 and moved to Athens in 1922 after Asia Minor Disaster. The club has got departments in football, basketball, volleyball, waterpolo and other sports. The most successful section is the football team with long presence in A Ethniki. The home stadium of the club is in Rizoupoli, a district of Athens. The club's colours are blue and white and its emblem is the ancient God Apollo.

Ergotelis B.C.

G.S. Ergotelis Basketball, also known simply as Ergotelis, is a Greek amateur basketball club, part of the multi-sport club Gymnastics Club Ergotelis, that is based in Heraklion, Crete. The club's basketball department currently competes in the Cretan Basket League, and was officially founded in 1968, the same year it joined the registers of the Greek Federation of Sporting Clubs. In 1983, Ergotelis was one of the clubs that signed the establishment of the Cretan Basketball Associations Union. Currently, both men's and women's basketball departments are amateur clubs, that host home games at the Lido Indoor Hall in Heraklion, a basketball court with a capacity of 1,400 spectators. Ergotelis currently holds the record for most regional titles won in Crete, having won a total of 15 regional Championships and two Cretan Cups, since the Cretan Local Basketball Committee, the governing body of basketball on the island, was founded in 1968.

The 2016–17 Greek Handball Premier was the 38th season of the Greek Handball Premier, Greece's premier handball league. It ran from 24 September 2016 to 27 May 2017.

Areta Konomi is a female professional volleyball player from Greece, who is a member of the Greece women's national volleyball team. She became a well-known competitor with Hellenic powerhouse Olympiacos Piraeus. As a member of the Piraeus club she won the Golden Metal of CEV Women's Challenge Cup in 2018 edition.

Emmanouil "Manolis" Prekas is a Greek water polo player, who is a member of Greece men's national water polo team. He plays for Greek powerhouse Olympiacos, with whom he won the 2017–18 LEN Champions League, 2 Greek Championships and 1 Greek Cup.
