The Communist Party of Spain is a communist party that, since 1986, has been part of the United Left coalition, which is currently part of Sumar. Two of its politicians are Spanish government ministers, the Minister of Labour and Social Economy and the Minister of Youth and Children.

Instead, the party holds its own elections to select the Puerto Rico delegates to the Republican National Convention and holds presidential primaries on the last Sunday of February.

General elections will be held in Uruguay on 27 October 2024. If no presidential candidate receives a majority in the first round of voting, a runoff will take place on Sunday 24 November 2024.
