James Edward Minshall (born July 4,1947) is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1974 and 1975. Minshall compiled a career record of 59 wins and 53 losses with 20 saves and a 3.70 earned run average in his 290-game pitching career with the Pittsburgh Pirates,Salem Pirates,Clinton Pilots,Salem Rebels,Sherbrooke Pirates,Thetford Mines Pirates and Charleston Charlies. He began playing during the 1966 season and last took the field during the 1976 campaign. Minshall attended Newport Central Catholic High School in Newport,Kentucky.

Daniel Edward Murtaugh was an American second baseman, manager, front-office executive, and coach in Major League Baseball (MLB). Murtaugh is best known for his 29-year association with the Pittsburgh Pirates, with whom he won two World Series as field manager. He also played 416 of his 767 career MLB games with the Pirates as their second baseman.
Reinaldo Antonio Stennett Porte was a Panamanian professional baseball second baseman, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1971–79) and San Francisco Giants (1980–81). He batted and threw right-handed. A World Series champion with the Pirates in 1979, Stennett is one of two players to collect seven hits in a nine-inning game, which he did in a 22–0 victory over the Chicago Cubs, in 1975. Stennett was also a member of the first all-Black and Latino starting lineup in big league history.

Donald Eugene Cardwell was an American Major League Baseball (MLB) right-handed pitcher who played for five National League (NL) teams from 1957 to 1970. He was the first pitcher in major league history to pitch a no-hitter in his first game after being traded. He pitched a no-hit, 4–0 winning game for the Chicago Cubs on May 15, 1960, just two days after being traded from the Philadelphia Phillies. After winning 15 games for the Cubs in 1961, he won 13 games twice for the Pittsburgh Pirates before helping the New York Mets win the 1969 World Series title.

During that one season, Berger played for the minor league Richmond Colts and the major league Pittsburgh Pirates during the 1914 season. He also played for the minor league Newport News Shipbuilders during the 1915 season. Berger batted left-handed, while throwing right. During his playing career, he stood at 6 feet (180 cm) and weighed in at 185 pounds (84 kg). Before turning professional, Berger attended the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia, where he played baseball on the school's team. After his baseball career was over, Berger worked as a bookkeeper, and eventually moved in with his brother, Dr. Howard S. Berger.
